Just read your BBC premier league predictions column and noted that you made the following point. The Everton fans were singing 'we're going to win the league' during their impressive win at Swansea last week. I think they are getting carried away a bit there.
I was at Swansea so I thought I would set the record straight.
Yes the Everton fans were singing 'we're going to win the league', however the tongue was firmly in cheek. You will get that from a fanbase that is primarily scouse and therefore this song was a touch of humour, apologies if your connection to Liverpool FC has led you believe that a set of fans could believe that they could win the league when they have no chance (please refer to last 23 years e.g final piece of jigsaw. r year etc.) We are enjoying it right now and hope it lasts a bit longer however we know we are not going to win the league. We also know that your LFC have even less chance of winning it. However that will be probably be down to all the referees giving every decision against them in every match in every season.
Looking forward to tomorrows match and if we win we will probably sing it again so if you want to make a point of it on match of the day then please explain to the viewers that we are not deluded but are football fans enjoying our best start to the season for a long time.
If we lose tomorrow then don't say 'those evertonian fools were singing about winning the league last week and now cant even beat Saints at home'.
Win or lose we will be there next week supporting the blues.
ps. We also sing 'Tony Hibbert, he scores when he wants' and no we don't think he will the golden boot.
"Win or lose we will be there next week supporting the blues"
Attendances at Woodison suggest otherwise. All these scousers that support the bluesh'te and hardly ever a sell out! Funny that!
They were even giving away season tickets with t-mobile phone contracts a couple of years back as an alternative to a PS3 or flatscreen tv!!!
THE (SELF PROCLAIMED) PEOPLES CLUB
F*CKING LOL

If I live and was born a stones throw from Anfield/Goodison then I am probably a scouser. And no la is not better. You are trying too hard and failing miserably.
You took the time to write war and piece to a bloke who most will agree is a bit of a bellend - but also took the time to copy and paste it on betfairs forum.
You, so far, have not had the hero's welcome that you were clearly hoping for.
Probably best if you let this thread fall to the bottom of the pile and quit making a fool of yourself ey lad?

"stones throw away" is a common expression for somewhere of close proximity
5 mins away would fall under that category
the expression is of course not always meant to be taken literally
however, i fully appreciate that the expression may not yet have reached North Wales, so your confusion is understandable.
WOOL

No it was a good first attempt. Anyway I'm glad hes gone now. He's probably on his way round to my house with his Birth Cert. I think hes very proud to be a scouser you know. Born a stones throw from 'Woodison' and Anfield, amazing scenes!

He's probably a nice bloke but struggling to come to terms with his teams poor start to the season. When he comes back from eating his pan of scouse I hope he will be in a better frame of mind.

Having read through the thread I have come to the conclusion that kopland is just seething at the enormity of the realization that the OP is probably spot on.

Mark Lawrenson is a grade one t1t. But the OP is wrong if he thinks the bloke has any affiliations to LFC. He's a self-confessed Manchester United fan who just happened to play for Liverpool (great player though)
