i need help, i dont know if the light on means an issue with the breaks?

it could be an issue as when i hit the breaks at the roundabout the other day i could hear a crunching sound but i didnt stop kept going even though i hit the breaks, only happened while it was raining....no problems the last few days as its been dry.

ABS and traction control are two different things. Confused  What's an ABS traction light?
