Feyenoord good form and play within the Dutch League, but after being 2-0 defeated in Prague they only had 2 days to prepare. As the squad of Feyenoord is not really wide, the same players will have to step up in this game. Stefan de Vrij is injured, which means that Matthijssen en Martins Indi will play in center. Not even a real weakening here (although I'm a fan of de Vrij), as Matthijsen is class material.

Vitesse had the last game last weekend, so good time to prepare. Vitesse also signed Theo Janssen from Ajax, which is a really top player (for Dutch league). He will most likely be in starting 11. The other signings Kakuta (Chelsea) en Aksentijevic will mostlikely not play.

Although Feyenoord didn't lose the last 5 years, I think this could be the day for that to happen. I'm therefore going for Vitesse (0) 1.91.

POSSIBLE LINE-UPS

Vitesse: Velthuizen; Yasuda, Kashia, Kalas, Van Aanholt; Van Ginkel, Van der Heijden, Janssen; Ibarra, Bony, Reis.

Feyenoord: Mulder; Janmaat, Martins Indi, Mathijsen, Nelom; Vormer, Clasie, Immers, Leerdam; Schaken en Cissé.

STATISTICS

20/11/2011 Vitesse - Feyenoord 0-4
06/02/2011 Vitesse - Feyenoord 1-1
09/08/2009 Vitesse - Feyenoord 0-0
30/11/2008 Vitesse - Feyenoord 1-1
07/10/2007 Vitesse - Feyenoord 0-1

1 change for Vitesse: Propper in the line-up, Yasuda not.

1 change for Feyenoord too: Guyon fernandez in the line-up, Vormer not.

Other opinions on the game?

Hard to predict, but will be laying Feyenoord
Report Quatsch September 2, 2012 11:23 AM BST
I think Vitesse will play the waiting game. Eventually, the Feyenoord players' legs will surely tire after their European travels. Also, the return of Theo Janssen may give the home team a boost. They should at least fancy their chances from free kicks and the like.

I agree with Florik's preview (apart from the Matthijssen is a class act statement) - Vitesse (Draw No Bet) seems a great bet - Feijenoord will be tired and Vitesse highly motivated.

dutch football has really gone ****! last week i watched AZ draw 0-0 and now im watching another 0-0. What has happened
Report flourik September 2, 2012 12:55 PM BST
Well last week AZ was a bit unlucky last week (cost me and lots of others..).

10 min. ago big chance for Feyenoord, but Velthuizen saved (but lucky, because of his position).

Further not a really good match indeed. 0-0 most likely, but hoping for the 1-0 off course.

Pff, some really good chances for goals in the last minutes (again Immers for feyenoord) but they just keep on missing.
