garcia will collect red cards :)
and really isn´t a player for city
Report JamDav1982 August 30, 2012 10:23 PM BST
Any time I have watched Benfica Javi Garcia has been sh1te and as you said is a red card waiting to happen.

Doesnt look anywhere near worth £24m.

£12m for central defender + £12m for Defensive Midfielder. Sounds about right to me Silly
Report T.M.0 August 30, 2012 10:28 PM BST

The fact i support Seville why would i be seething. Always liked City actually. Great support even when they dropped two levels. Remember when they got promoted at Blackburn and thought they had amazing fan, always liked them.

well let's look at the facts then Silly Mancini knows Maicon from his Inter days, he knows exactly what he's getting (with De Jong possibly going the other way). He provides additional cover in an area where City currently have injury concerns. For £3m (rumoured) that is a bargain.

In Javi Garcia he has a potential star (and that is potential because he hasn't quite hit the highlights let). Since his transfer from RM (were he was part of that brilliant reserve team) he's been the engine room at Benfica helping them to 3 trophies. There isn't too much worry about him being away on international duty as those slots are pretty much spoken for and he can cover for various positions, most notably probably when Yaya goes to the ANC. The price probably a tad on the high side but that is because Benfica are insisting on his release clause.

I pinched some of that because I couldn't quite remember when he left Real Laugh
Report JamDav1982 August 30, 2012 10:59 PM BST
24m far too much for Javi Garcia from what I have seen.

Benfica and Porto make some money from selling players every year.
Report themover August 30, 2012 11:01 PM BST
yes, they do it very well. City are almost a benefactor to Porto as they were able to sell Falcao to Atletico once they had sold Aguero to City Laugh Hulk must be next Silly
Report themover August 30, 2012 11:03 PM BST
would have preferred Martinez if I'm honest but I guess with Bayern meeting the asking price that was considered too steep by City who are clearly having to be a bit careful with the FFP.
Report NonShy.. August 30, 2012 11:05 PM BST
give mancini more £££££
Report themover August 30, 2012 11:05 PM BST
Scott Sinclair signing is ok I think. Johnson didn't look like ever cementing a regular slot in the team so no probs giving Sinclair a shot at it.
Report themover August 30, 2012 11:09 PM BST
I think he might need it after seeing the Champions league draw NonShy Laugh
Report JamDav1982 August 30, 2012 11:13 PM BST
Sinclair wont improve Man City, can only imagine that he has been signed to meet some English players quota.

Although it is difficult for Man City to improve the squad by much if not wanting to spend massively.
