Spot on, they should've gone all out attack and risked getting caught on the break!

Were you on over 1.5 goals?
Report MC Roller August 20, 2012 9:57 PM BST
spot on berto. Everton played to win the points not land overs bets.
Report high_lander August 20, 2012 9:57 PM BST
united need a midfield - i have no idea why fergie keeps buying forwards
Report Horangi. August 20, 2012 10:02 PM BST
You need to offer something on the break.  Allowing a team 90% percentage and just hoping to hold on with numerical defending is not a winning mentality.
Report moisok August 20, 2012 10:04 PM BST
I would have thought getting a defence would be the first priority seeing as two players were playing out of position
but then ferg has 3 or 4 defenders injured I believe

Everton controlled the first hour, took the lead, and then shut up shop. Professional winning display.
3rd best defence in the league last season, confident they could keep out the miss firing united forwards.
Job done.
Report kenilworth August 20, 2012 10:14 PM BST
biscuit, I had to agree with about everyone of your
posts on this thread, especially about Everton after
they scored. I felt inviting United onto them after
the goal meant an equaliser, but United didn't have
the nous to find a way through. A pleasing result for
neutrals and Everton backers.
Report Horangi. August 20, 2012 10:27 PM BST
Biscuit just because one team flukes their way to a title doesn't mean its the most successful way to play.  You play that Bayern final 100 times and Bayern wins 90 times out of 100.
Report peeler August 20, 2012 10:34 PM BST
horangi Everton play to a game plan. It was obvious that fellini and jelavic were tiring last 15mins and couldn'y hold the ball up as well as they did 1st 70-75mins. Everton's ageing midfielders were also struggling to maintain pace-- in such circs and without pacey foward to chase outlet ball they did what they had to do. M utd team of 5 yrs ago would probably found an equaliser--they don't have the class now.
