BBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM....First profit target hit within 6 weeks of starting the project...I've managed to post a few of the latest recommendations on here and will look to do so as much as I can going forward...

For those that have been following, I've now been able to withdraw 250 points from the starting bank to take my first income from betting. Very happy with this sort of return in this time frame and, if...I repeat IF, I can keep this up, it will be a very nice addition to my income stream...

In the immortal words of Alan Partridge..."Back of the net..."

Full details of the bets and project to date can be found at http://www.bettingriver.co.uk/BettingDiary.php if anyone is interested...

Cheers Maas...You ever tried this sort of Investment betting before and had any luck with it?.

Think its been quite a lucky start to be honest as was expecting to turn a 10% profit each month so way ahead at the moment although that can soon be lost if I'm not careful.

I'm reviewing a few potential games over the next few days so will try and get them posted on here as and when I decide whether to back them.

Yes, I take the same approach as you with gambling.

Good luck

Bruce Willis: It is indeed gambling...whenever you place money down on an event and hope to make money from it, is gambling...That goes for sports betting and investing (buying shares in a company and hoping they do well so you can take a profit).

Most sports gamblers are in it for the fun and the hope of a "quick buck" and as I'm sure you will agree, most gamblers end up down over the long term. I used to be one of these people so know all about the highs and lows.

Instead, I've adopted Investment principles and applied them to sports betting. Good Money Management, take emotions out of the equation (as best you can at least) and try and find value in what you are investing in...

Hopefully, this sort of return will continue, but I doubt it as everyone has down times but the plan is to make a steady return over the long term...Not "Get-Rich-Quick" like most punters...

boneslondon: I will mostly be focusing on football games but there will be the odd Rugby union or league game thrown in as well. Darts and Tennis also some times get a look in...

I tend to steer well clear of Horse Racing as too difficult to call if you ask me...
