Japanese lost to Kuwait and Syria in qualifying.  Let's see how they get on against the Spanish. Grin. 2-0 Spain for me.

Spain lost a few in warm up. Expecting both teams to score, maybe even Japan first.

Danny Mills really is dull.  He's told us everything we already knew about Spain already.

I don't think you can hold his time at Bolton against him, must've been quite hard for a 19 year old in a new country playing for a sh*te team. He did well at Benfica last season.

Biscuit, what's your bet for this match?

Fair point Biscuit, but GBs main striker did pretty well in the same Bolton team.

Spains subs:

2 Azpilicueta
8 Muniain
13 Botía
14 Oriol Romeu
16 Tello
17 Ander Herrera
18 Diego Marino

Amazed Muniain can't get in the side, perhaps he's carrying an injury. Ander herrera was a regular for Bilbao last season, Tello got a few games for Barca and Azpilicueta is the right back Chelsea are trying to sign. Not a bad bench!

why are Spain wearing blue?  seems a bit ridiculous when Japan are always wearing another shade of blue.

Ok but ask yourself how well Sturridge would've done if he was loaned out to someone like Getafe or Santander where he knew no one and didn't speak a word of spanish

Point taken, probably not as well as he did at Bolton.
By:

Not quite sure what Madrid were hoping to achieve by loaning him to Bolton anyway, surely a lower half la liga side or a Portuguese team (where he is now) would've made more sense. They just wasted 6 months of his career

So everyone expecting goals here and a comfortable spain win. Maybe a cheeky lay of Spain should do the job then.

For Spain's 3 over age players why not pick Xavi, Iniesta and Torres. Then you could have a team with De Gea, Alba, Xavi, Iniesta, Martinez, Mata, Torres in.
