Sir Alex Ferguson believes Kenny Dalglish was sacked by Liverpool because of the way he handled the Luis Suarez racism case.
Dalglish was shown the door at Anfield at the end of last season after a miserable Premier League campaign which saw the Reds finish eighth.
However much of the season was overshadowed by Suarez being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra and Ferguson says Dalglish's refusal to apologise cost him his job.
"I wasn't surprised at Kenny leaving," said the United manager.
"John Henry has obviously looked at that (the Suarez incident) and felt it wasn't handled in the right way.
"It certainly wasn't a nice thing to happen and it must have been part of it."
Suarez recently claimed his eight-game ban was a result of the "political power" held by United, but Ferguson said: "It's not going to go away if Suarez keeps on making headlines out of it.
"It was nothing to do with Manchester United."

I didn't say they are finished, but now you mention it, my father just said to me, he remembers back to 1969 the year after they had won the European Cup, and some people said they were on their way out, after a potless season.
It was 1993 when they won anything again. Unless of course you count the 2nd Div. championship  |

KD was hung out to dry by Liverpool over Suarez - he was clearly struggling, but was offered no help whatsoever. Saddest sight last season was seeing him so confused that he was bamboozled by a Sky Sports twerp, went to leave, found his route blocked so came back again.

When the whinging liar Evra complained to his manager, instead of sorting the matter out between the two players and the two managers,Ferguson saw an opportunity to inflict damage on LFC and told EVRA to report it to the referee.
