If a game you have a bet on has been abandoned or postponed, your bet will be subject to the three day rule.

Should the game be replayed within three days all bets will stand and settled as normal.

If the game is not played within three days, all bets will be made void.


Please note:
•If a match has not started (or if Betfair believes that a match will not have started) by 23:59 (local time) on its scheduled start date, then all bets will be void unless Betfair has knowledge that the match has been rescheduled to be played within three days of its original start date.
•If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed and is not completed (i.e. 90 minutes of play according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time) within three days of the scheduled start date, all bets will be void except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined.
•If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed but is completed (i.e. 90 minutes of play according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time) within three days of the scheduled start date, all bets will stand except if the match is restarted from the beginning. If the match is restarted from the beginning then all bets matched before the market went in-play will stand, but any bets placed in-play will be void, except for any bets placed in-play on markets which have been unconditionally determined, which will stand.

A friendly will not, usually, be replayed and the score when the game is ended is usually the FT result that is why betfair revised their terms as i posted above. I suppose the referee has the final say as these friendlies aren't governed by ruling bodies.

60 min friendlies are common but it looked as if the first half went for the full 45

so surely has to be an abandoned match??

Last pre season plenty of games were ended early and the results always stood if the ref just decided he'd had enough

I can't understand why a ref would abandon a match anyway! It pisses me off. Unless riots are breaking out then the game should finish, and if the players aren't arshed because it's a friendly then they shouldn't be getting payed to play football! Where's the point in turning up for the game if you don't wanna win it?!

You would also think BF would have the decency to post a thread on here explaining what will happen instead of leaving us in no-mans-land

After the game all he has to say is ft and that's the result. The only way a friendly is classed as abandoned is if outside forces, crowd trouble/weather etc..., come into play. If the ref was on a promise at 4 pm he can blow up if he decides it's too good an offer to pass up
You should always keep this in mind when betting in these friendlies!
