1988 lost all 3 group games 1992 - didnt win a group game 1994 - DNQ 2000 - didnt get out of group 2008 - DNQ Else it's like saying that since 1998 San Marino have never lost a knock out match of a major tournament!! |

Just had a look ... since 1988, Italy have gone 19 knock out matches without losing in 90 mins. Not many countries can say that after playing so many games.
