England will win 1-0 imo

Woy has England playing like a 1980's Italian team, dont concede and try and nick one
It might work but as Brian Clough said if they were playing in my back garden I would close the curtains. |
|
By:
italy are poor but very well organised will show how good england are hope we play going for it nothing to lose
|
|
By:
Could be dull. Extra time a real runner.
|
|
By:
THE first 0-0 , really good chances for this
|
|
By:
England can't defend, the Italians certianly can.
If Italy nick that first goal it's over, they will just see it out like they always do. Agree it won't be a good game. Might have £20 on Italy and £5 on 1-0. |

Italy to qualify@2 will be my bet
|

By:
funny how all of a sudden France are considered awful

I have to agree, you really do have to have a vivid imagination to see England winning
Italy should be odds on here Its time to put away your blind faith and take the easy money 2/1 + is by far the best value bet thus far in this tourney MASSIVE win bet on Italy |
|
By:
deffo minus 2.5 (provided the price is value)
|
|
By:
If Italy go 3-5-2 as in Spain game double the bet pr kick off
Englands slow mid field will get over run and Wooney will drop too deep to look for the ball = No chance |
|
By:
As a neutral something tells me that England will get past Italy, Italy are there to be beaten with a bit of luck along the way. England remind me of Chelsea in the champs league. Sometimes luck is more important than technical ability.
I would suggest a 1 1 bet and England to win on penalties. |

No gifts from the Italian keeper tomorrow, unlike that volleyball player who was in goal for Ukraine the other night.
|
|
By:
Could well be a 0-0 bore fest. My play will be to lay whoever score first. The Italians used to be the masters of defending a 1-0 lead; not any more. England just invite the opposition on to them if they go in front and tend to play much better when they go behind. No bet until there's a goal either way.

1-1
And unders First pens of the tournament |

0-0 is at 6.8. Jesus.

laying 0-0 at that price seems value

DONT CONCEDE ??????????????? we concede against france - 2 against swedes and ukr had at least 3 clear cut chances !!!!!!!!!!11 are u winding us up ??? |

England haven't had much success against Italy for the last 51 years (they only have 3 wins out of 14 matches - in that time 1 win in euro/world cup competitions). Even Bobby Robson's team never beat them in 4 matches.
Have England significantly improved recently. I expect that the best England will achieve after 90 minutes is a draw. Of course footie is a funny old game and anything can happen. |
|
By:
Betfair currently have England as very slight favourites

I'm itching to back Italy but not if they start Balotelli , I just can't trust him with my money. If they start with Di Natale I'll be all over them.

Italy beat Ireland 2/0.
England have drawn against Ireland in the last 4 matches since 1990 - and lost against Ireland in 1988. Italy 2/0 seems a reasonable bet to start with. |
|
By:
So the last time England drew (0/0) against Ireland was in 1995 under Terry Venables - after a sequence of draws against Ireland.
Italy have been euro/WC runners up and WC Champions since then. Have England improved since then. Italy 2/0 still seems a reasonable bet to start with along with a lay of England - despite England starting as "favourites". Of course footie is a funny old game and anything can happen. |

Both England and Italy were @ 2.94 not long ago!

0-0 after 90 mins

By:
I think there's goals in this
|
|
By:
I reckon, just for fun:
Italy score first half. Looks like they're going to win 1-0. England equalise in last 5 minutes. England score again in 1st half of extra time. England win 2-1 AET. |

By:
marychain,
there's been a lot of talk of a low-scoring match, possible 0-0 etc, so i wouldn't be surprised to find we have a 5-goal thriller. |

absolutely spot on. Could see very early in that game that the way France had set up meant it was only going to go one way. |
|
By:
draw written all over it...
and thinking with my heart wouldnt it be better for the italy to beat us then haveing to watch 90' of the germans smashing us up AGAIN ![]() |

Italy, Draw-No-Bet.

2-1 England 84min winner From carroll.

disengage your head and for once in your life bet with your heart...otherwise where is the thrill of a succesful punt against all odds....

Gerrard to score anytime 5/1 ith PP. England 2-1. And if it doesnt happen, not long to the premier starting. Enjoy..
|
|
By:
england have played sensible football, it might be dull but it's getting results. italy are a better footballing side and will dominate the game and i think they'll probably win, but i wouldn't write off england. england haven't been creating much but they have been clinical in taking their limited chances to score. And as we know that's all you need to do to win.
|
|
By:
everyone seems to fully expect a draw

Have laid England, I'm allowed to I'm an Aussie. To the Poms backing Italy - Hang your heads in shame, betting against your own country is a disgrace. If you have to gamble pick a correct score or unders, something neutral. I would NEVER bet against the Socceroos in a HTH.

if i have a personal interest in one of the teams in a match then i don't get involved at all. not worth it.
