Disagree. Had a couple of average games but the silly England fans will overreact and say he has been world class. Always hyping up our players ffs
I think Parker has been superb and much better than Gerrard, also the back four should be getting more praise than that joker Stevie. |
|
By:
Disagree ^^ he's been class. Agree about Parker though, some very unfair criticism. As for JT, dont know what all the raving is about, he WILL cost us - the lard-burger

is he the scouse mike yarwood now
|

Next we will have people actually listening to dawsey as if he has a clue.
Highly unlikely but you never know. Young , an absolute passenger has been terrible Rooney stunk the place out until his tap in and couldn't jump an inch off the ground unlike Carrolls world class header Rio, not on the bus Welbrick , very very ordinary I suggest your fishing is not working gayboy |

its the first time i can remember the England midfield has been built around Gerrard the injury to Lampard has been a blessing in disguise, been Englands best player created 3 goals and captained the team superbly.
But it has been a team effort and while some individual performances have been poor in certain games you can't fault the effort of the players which is all you ask for as a fan. |

By:
Dylan shhhhhhh
dawsy don't want to let the TRUTH get in the way of a good seeeeeeeeeth |
|
By:
think he is just getting fit
|
|
By:
this after 10 yrs of 'experts' and managers telling us 'of course Lampard and Gerrard can play together...they're world-class footballers'
![]() |
|
By:
Typical one eyed United response from Dawsy there. Gerrard has been immense for us. Agree that Parker has been superb too but if Gerrard was a United player you'd be touting him for the Ballon D'or after these last 3 games.
|

By:
Respect to the defence and the keeper, the rest have been rbbish so far
|
|
By:
Eng's 'golden generation' was ruined by shoehorning of Lampard and Gerrard in same team. At long last Fat Frank isn't in the team and Gerrard is able to boss things in centre mid the way he should have been doing for Eng for the last 10 years.

As a self confessed stevie hater I must admit he looked good in the game against Ukraine he also set up a cracking goal for AC. He seems to be enjoying his role as captain and is revelling in the role.

whats all the shyte about " world class "
they aint played nobody yet - got outplayed by france , and were poor in the other games - swedes and ukraines . italy is their first real test and they will fail miserably . World class players have done it against the very best teams ,,,,, has gerrard ? |
|
By:
italy is their first real test and they will fail miserably......how miserably big mouth?tell the a***holes on here theyre always so fckn sure of evrything,a score then maybe off you?
|
|
By:
very average player.
the press say he had a good game and all the sheep laud him as one of the greats ![]() you should all be ashamed of yourselves, you're officially pathetic ![]() |
|
By:
They played France and everyone expected them to lose, a respectable draw.
They played Sweden and came from behind to win, but Sweden are useless yet they comfortably beat France. They played Ukraine away from home and Ukraine, as hosts, were doing their utmost to stay in the competition with 95% the crowd on their side yet England managed a 0-1 win. Italy are up next, a true test everyone says yet if England win it'll be because Italy are useless nowadays you can guarantee that. |
|
By:
u have to applaude england for getting the points on the board but its remarkable, they have been absolutely dire.
the ukraine embarrassed england imo, the result is the important thing but it was like watching barca v grimbsy, fookin awful. |
|
By:
It's the best I've seen Gerrard play for years and the best for England ever.
|

By:
If England win it...it would be the WORST England captain EVER to Lift the Henri Delaunay trophy
|
|
By:
TheBetterBettor,he would also be the Best England captain to lift the trophy!!!

big mouth ??? ha ha ha
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope they win it - but if you think they can you are kidding yourself |

Too much club allegiance among football posters on here and a lot of posters who clearly have no clue about football.
|
|
By:
Best english midfielder for 20 years, shame its taken so long for England to build their side around him.
|
|
By:
He spent 3/4 of the season out so he's fresher than most players in the tournament. That said fair play to Hodgson this is the most united I've seen England since Euro '96
|
|
By:
Did the haters (i.e Man Utd armchair forum 'fans' who seem to live on here)hear Rooneys comments on Stevie Gee today? Called him world class, great to have in the team, an inspirational leader etc etc.
So either you lot accept you are wrong & owe every decent England fan an apology or your beloved Syrupped Granny Shagger is a 1st class eejit who tells porky pies. Which is it? |

Italy midfielder Daniele De Rossi admits he will be facing his idol when his country competes against England for a place in the Euro 2012 semi-finals on Sunday.
The 28-year-old was called the 'complete player' by manager Cesare Prandelli following Italy's Group C win over the Republic of Ireland. However, De Rossi claims Steven Gerrard is far more worthy of such a tag. The Roma man, who has 75 caps, said: "He told me how well I had performed and that I was the complete player. "But he was wrong. That accolade goes to Steven Gerrard. "Gerrard has been my idol for 10 years and is one of the best players in the world. He is the example of what all midfield players aspire to. "He is always there in the heat of the battle, leading by example. "He is everywhere you look - in defence, in the middle of the pitch and in attack. "I would love to be close to that level." |

Amen to that!
But these plastic mancs think they know more about footy than top professionals. In their stain encrusted undies, big belly wobbling under a Man Utd home shirt with 'Ronaldo'etched onto the back & 4 seasons out of date and straining to rip from every fibre atop the vast girth, the fan throws several shimmys and feints, skips past two helpless defenders before delivering a rasping 30 yarder into the back of the onion bag and wheels around to celebrate, exposing his ample gut to the stunned adoring crowd (his hamster). Thank God for those Playstations ![]() |

Forgot about that Dr Crypionate!
Did he burn his Chelsea jersey? ![]() |

I think the fact his fitness isn't quite what it was, has oddly helped him. Instead of charging all over the pitch like Roy of the Rovers, he seems to have realised he can't do that any more. Still supporting defense and attack but in position much more than the Gerrard of old would have been. As has been said a million times, it has also helped having a disciplined proper holding midfielder alongside him when he does get forward.
I think he has been tremendous thus far. |

Back 4 and centre mid doing well for England.......... and the subs
Blessed that Frank and Rio are at home Rooney played like a slug........can't be as poor again |

Did Beeb support Chelsea?!!
Absolute classic and the embodiment of fickle. How embarrassing to be such a turncat. Bettorbettor, Dawsy, IQ 2.5, Beeb etc will no doubt be shopping on e-bay for cut price Man City shirts as we speak! |
