He was being lauded by the pundits but in the approximate gap of 10 minutes between the first and second Swedish goals it was clear that we needed to change things and I think his conservatism at that point and indeed later in the game when fresh legs were needed put us in jeopardy.

The players were the ones who lost it for 10-20 mins - he exercised what influence he can during a game (he obv can't control things 100%!) and it made the difference. Maybe a tad lucky but if his tactical changes have a knack of being lucky........

Any Manager has to get the most out of what he has.

What England currently have is 3 or 4 players who are genuine world class...Hart, Gerrard(maybe) Cole and Rooney..The rest are average, Ox apart who will be genuine world class with more experience.

Roy is getting the most out of this lot so anyone who is critical should take a long look at themselves.
