donut - the way i see it is you have two options. U can back Santos or you can give me the money you are backign Santos with to help with my bet. The outcome is the same, you will be losing your money, but at least by giving it to me you will be helping a good cause.

its called value. If you look for value you will make money long term. If you keep betting on what the bookies prices are regardless of a team and form then its impossibble to make money! bookies are rarely wrong

there you have it, you have answered your own question. Looking for value is looking for the best odds and value odds. Value is how you make money, not by following bookies

1.01 is a bit different to 1.90 though mate, if a bet at 1.01 goes wrong it's very hard to win your money back but at odds like 1.90 it's much easier

i wouldnt back a team who was 1.2 to win if i thought it was in reality a 1.5 shot. i would be laying them. It works fantastic in tennis

fair enough not backing a team because the odds are very short in your opinion, we all do it everyday if we think it's going to be a close game or something and not worth the worry.
but saying you would have backed them if they were 2.4, but now saying you are going to lay them because they're 1.9? the point i'm trying to make is you obviously thought they'd win and would have backed them at 2.4, why does them being 1.9 change the chance of them winning in your opinion? if i was you i'd just leave the match well alone |

no manor point you are not getting the point! if i think a team is a 2.4 shot but is priced at 1.9 then the value isnt there. Therefore if these two teams played 100 times and i layed that 1.9 everytime i would be in profit in the long run. Dont u understand it? Bookies prices are never wrong, if you always follow bookies price and never look for value its impossibble to make make money.

obviousally alot depends on what you think is the real price. 1.9 might be too high for some people, might be too low for some people or might be spot on for some people. i might be wrong in this instance for all i no, its the people who manage to spot value and get on it are the ones who constantly beat the bookies
