I think you will find that they played well, when rance see off the other two in the group.

Louis Walsh said that they are guaranteed to get a number one with that performance

The england team are full of pathetic egos, we need people that are humble and start out with nothing and are willing to put a shift in.

Only player who couldn't pass the ball was Stevie Me. Get him out of the team and replace him with Phil Jones and then we have Wayne coming back after we qualify from the group, it looks a quality team now. Hard to see the likes of Spain, Italy, Germany breaking us down. I honestly think this could be our year.

Everytime i watch england play i feel we are going backwards (like alot of our play), we are far to predictable and so annoying to watch. RANT OVER.

You seem to be just enough typical 'England fan' that seems it's vogue to slate England for them not winning a match, that you would have most likely expected us to lose in the first place.
Players are tired is a bit of a myth, and can't be a tenable excuse this year, and is no disadvantage when comparing similar situations with different countries. Players have been given more than enough time off before the preparation started for England, with Roy cancelling Capello's plan of taking them on a pre-training camp in Spain, to allow them time off. The guys from the Spain squad who played in the Copa del ray final will be more tired, as will the German's from Bayern Munich squad. Fact is, England made more than a positive start against the toughest caliber of opposition we are likely to face before the Quarters/Semi final stage, and we far from embarrassed our selves. |

Hate to imagine the social uproar that would have occurred if we were the Dutch and had lost to the Danish!

I am a honest fan who is fed up with the rubbish he has to put up with. I want all players from my country singing the national anthem for starters (showing passion) and putting a shift in, which sadly i feel is lacking.

@larrence
Seriously ? Lacking creativity obviously - the game plan was - against a superior team - be well organised, not give anything away and be difficult. They did exactly that. To say they didn't put a shift in is basically admitting you haven't got a clue. And signing the national anthem ? what a pretty rubbish anthem about an over priviliged family that a lot of people don't care about. They did exactly what they set out to do. Job done - no more, no less. |

i give up, luckily i have brazillian blood in my little toe.

And yeah - they haven't got anything to fear. They are probably the second best team in the group on paper so shouldn't be scared of the other 2 - doesn't mean they will go through but they should go there with confidence.
Now if they don't qualify they deserve stick. To give them stick for getting a well deserved point against a side who most thought would beat us easily suggests you do well remember your own name each morning. |

i don't rate france whatsoever, so i disagree with all the rubbish you have spouted.
