england 2 banks of 4 ,france could play 7 up front with 2 or 3 in the box if they liked ,but have opted to have no one in the box, imagine the shock if some team started with 2 wingers and 2 forwards

one final memory after seeing an adequate england last nite 1 shot in 90 mins and the pundits do not worry about that in 1960 2 weeks before real 73 euro final at hampden park england and scotland drew 1-1 everyone said bumpy pitch not condusive to good football 2 weeks later real madrid so nothing has changed collymore said pitch was not watered enough

I feel like this has been better than the World Cup.  At least there are already very important games like Poland v Russia, Holland v Germany.

Shame Platini is going to ruin it next time with 24 teams.

very emotonal for the poles we cant imagine in their history what they have suffered under the russian bear i know this is sport i always find it strange the dutch are so forgiving of the germans and their players like robben van bommel ply in germany their families must have memories of  the war  An australian friend reminded me that less than 5 years after the war and the atrocities toyota set up in business in aussie i was in japan in the 70s and the kamikazi pilots were still revered as heroes and no regrets of the war
