He was class for Juve all year, a big loss to their defence stringer, putting aside his disaster at wolfsburg but who defends well their?. However, saying he is a big loss shows how the quality has dropped. Italy don't have the defenders anymore.

I have been following them and France because of the prices and I had backed them again at 19's after the Russia heavy defeat. Only problem is they have played like 2 games in 6 months, they may not be ready to face Spain. There is talk of changing to 3-5-2 as Maggio cannot play as a right back.

Against Russia they created plenty but were rusty and Maggio just forgot how to play football on all goals. I thought he was going to finally deliver but he has been picked more out of sympathy and Rossi is gone.

Montolivo should be know were near the squad, woeful player, like Gourcuff, a playmaker who cant create, France sent him home though.

They are nothing spectacular with Cassano. The attack was built around him but if they change things around I think they are dark horses.

Change to 3-5-2, drop cassano (not fit) and montolvio (donkey) and I think they are worth taking. But a very risky one with Spain up first

Sorry, missing a line

Sad what happened Cassano but he is lucky to be living, never mind playing football

Cassano is great on his day, can unlock a defence but it is right to question his fitness

And I totally agree with you on Montolivo and Gourcuff

infact i can not believe Gourcuff was bought for something like 25 million euros by Lyon when they already had 10x the better player in Pjanic on the bench, surely that needs to be investigated...money laundering? Laugh

I wish Totti was there in place of Balotelli too. Balo can't be trusted he's too immature.

That's true about Balo stringer but what a player to have. If he turns it on, which he's well capable of, the Italy price and Balo at 36's to be top goalscorer could be like Christmas coming early (100 for Italy to win and Balo top scorer combined Shocked)

sorry, just read my post again, this crap touch pad has a habit of messing up sentences and words Laugh

3rd time lucky trying to make my point.

It should have read at the bottom

"They are nothing spectacular without Cassano."

He is not fit to carry the team currently and they played around him in qualifying. No doubting his quality when fit. I think they have to at least rotate Giovinco/Cassano. Totti could still play the montolivo role better in his sleep but his day is done with them. He was actually good this season anytime I watched them, playing in his old role just keeping the ball moving with clever passing, exactly what Italy dont have anymore either without Cassano.

That leaves the nutter upfront to do something, who knows what he will do, as liable to get sent off as score, they prob should have taken Miccoli as he is still very good.

Groucuff sat his ass on the bench all year, there was lots of controversy as to why he even got picked. After the iceland game he "picked up an injury" and was sent home but now there are reports he actually asked to leave so fair play to him of true.
They play through the wings anyway from what I have seen and when they do they look dangerous

Thats my two bets anyway, France and Italy.
