Brendan: Meaning "Navigator" "Voyager" or "The Bold"
St Brendan: Renowned for his legendary quest to the "isle of the Blessed" Feast Day: 16th May Brendan Rodgers will navigate his way through the transfer window this summer before taking the club forward on a fantastic voyage. Only the bold will put their neck out and support now but they will be rewarded as Brendan leads the mighty reds on their legendary quest to the Premiership title. It will be paraded through the streets of Liverpool on May 16th every year there after! |

Thorough work max,
The only saving grace for LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB is they chose to not appoint Martinez. That would have been the emperors new clothes. A pleasing appointment for all Everton fans,Brendan Rodgers. |

Imagine having reservations about a Manager who has only ever managed for one season in he Prem. Joke fans

Amusing OP.
A little harsh though insofar as Rodgers turned the initial approach down so quickly it was bound to arouse the ire of Liverpool fans. Any fans would be the same in such circumstances (although tavaris jacksons "he knew he wasn't going to get it" is a particularly good rib tickler). |

Its a strange choice tbh, esp when you look at previous managers with decent first seasons:
George Burley (2000/01 Ipswich 5th) Paul Jewell (2005/06 Wigan 10th + League Cup Final) Alan Pardew (2005/06 West Ham 9th) Tony Pulis (2008/09 Stoke City 12th) Alex McLeish (2090/10 Birmingham 9th) Brendan Rodgers (2011/12 Swansea 11th) Paul Lambert (2011/12 Norwich City 12th) I mean those are all trumped by Kevin Keegan (1992/93 Newcastle 3rd, also 2002/03 Man City 9th) and would even he be good enough to get Liverpool top four? I mean they should really have gone for Pulis if they wanted performance with a small club. Four seasons in the PL, FA Cup final and a good showing in Europe. Its easy to disparage managers like that because of the style of play, but I doubt he would play the same way if given really good players |

Amazing scenes on sky news.........
A few days ago Liverpool supporters incensed at the thought of a Martinez appointment "he's from too small a club", "he won't cope with such a big club" "not enough experience to manage a premier club like Liverpool" etc, etc, etc Days later, Liverpool appoint ...............brendan rogers???????? Fans on sky news love the appointment it seems the big club, big manager lines have quickly been forgotten!!!!Unbelievable. The end is nigh........... |
