Hello everyone. Long term Lurker here, I had a forum account 2 years ago, i cannot remember my login details though.

Due to a family loss, I've recently found myself with little over 145k inheritance
Come quite a shock to a 24 year old lad such as myself, never had over a grand in my account from my wages working at my dads shop LaughLaugh

Many many times I've deposited a tenner, or sometimes £20 and I've turned it into a significant amount by backing the short odds

My plan is to turn 145k into 200k. Then quit.

Believe i can do it. It's jist having the bottle to do it Laugh Those tins of stella i bought earlier should help with that.

Assuming i DO, deposit it all into betfair (there are deposit limits??)...

I'm looking for dead cert 1.05 shots maybe even 1.1

I'm also looking for some input from people with similar stories as mine. What happened? Any advice?

No doubt i'll get called crazy and all the names under the sun, but im 110% confident, the amount of times i've doubled and tripled a starting bank on here.....

Cheers Pat.

If you lost the lot you would be suicidal, I thought about doing it with some of my redundancy but I gave my head a wobble and got back into work. Bank the majority and play with a grand and if you blow that then you can sit tight with funds in the bank.

if this is true, and thats a big if then you would be an absolute idiot to risk 145K. Completely mental.

I can understand your speculate to accumulate gamble as i did something similar myself a few year back, albiet with a lot less starting bank (but it was a risk for me at the time).

My advice.

Have fun with 5K going out, holidays ect (you only live once)

bank £130k or buy a house ect.

Put 10k in here if you have a sound strategy and can win consistenty over time. You will be suprised how quickly that 10k goes up when your consistently winning. This time next year it could be 50k easily with a sound plan.

or you could risk 145k like a complete idiot and be in the cemetry this time next year after topping yourself.

You need £5k tops in here to get started, more is an extravegance. Invest the rest in commodities, buy gold, buy dollar, buy oil (it's just had a little dip - don't bank on that lasting), have a little sell of the euro too.

disclaimer: i do not give advice on financial matters, and have no idea when man utd last failed to score at home. the management takes no responsibility for idiots using this statement as factual.

if you put it all on at once and you lose it you will be the biggest t!t ever and dont deserve to be handling those sort of sums. as others have said in here you shouldnt deposit more than 10k and even then you should only be using 1k stakes at the max, dealing with these sort of numbers will mess with your head, youll go oh theres a bet i like and then youll think no i wont risk it all on that and then it will win and youll end up chasing before youve even lost anything.

I have been a betfair user for 18 months or so and I read (mainly ****) the forums but have never posted before. Your predicament moved me to post! Do you realise what an opportunity you have been given! Get yourself on the property ladder, you have a golden opportunity to escape the Mortgage/poverty trap.

You should be ashamed of what you are doing. Respect the work and memory of your lost relative. Use that money for other things.

There are NO DEAD CERTS. Even odds at 1.01 reverse once in a while. Really. You clearly are looking for euphoria followed by despair.
