Players' chief Gordon Taylor condemns Joey Barton for 'upsetting people with good reputations'

GORDON Taylor has strongly condemned Joey Barton, claiming the QPR captain fully deserves a lengthy ban for his antics during and after Sunday's defeat at Manchester City.
Barton's future at QPR is in doubt after he elbowed Carlos Tevez, kicked Sergio Aguero and appeared to headbutt Vincent Kompany during the game and then took to Twitter to launch an expletive-ridden attack on Match of the Day duo Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker afterwards.
The Rangers skipper has until midday on Thursday to decide whether to appeal two charges of violent conduct, and the Professional Footballers' Association chief executive said: "If you come out with stuff like that you are going to deserve to be heavily sanctioned."
He added: "He is his own worst enemy when he says stuff like that and he has been upsetting a lot of people in the game with good reputations.
"We try to deal with Joey Barton and it is not getting any easier.
"I just feel sometimes like it is pushing a boulder up a hill, it slips back and you decide whether to go again.
"It has certainly been a backward step for him and his future in the game.
"There are people that seem to be improving and then slip back, it is a human condition. No one is perfect but you only have one career."

If Taylor condemns you then you know you're f*cked. He'd normally stick up for a footballer if they sh*gged his wife and killed his pet dog.

For a moment there I thought he meant Tevez and Balotelli, you know, those with good reputations.
It's about time they gave the bloke a permanent ban so we don't have to put up with him anymore.
Whilst not defending Barton, i do think the strangest part of the whole saga is the lack of pictures of the Tevez/Barton incident. Sky have cameras everywhere, yet there has hardly been a replay of the original incident (at least as far as I've seen) whereas I must have seen the knee on aguero 50 times.

AS FOR BARTON IF IT WASN'T FOR THAT BLOODY SPOILSPORT MICAH RICHARDS I RECKON HE WOULD OF HAD A POP AT MOST OF THE CITY TEAM
