As a QPR fan I'm dsgusted with his behaviour - club captain, taking home £70k a week and he acts like a grade A chump.

Hughes took a step in the right direction dropping him earlier in the season, needs to go one further and sack him. Not only does his attitude stink, he has had a poor season to boot.

The likes of Derry and Hill very limited at Premier League level, but they give their all every week and you can't fault it - Joey needs to take a look around the dressing room!

Thought it was another perfect example of why we should have video technology, personally.  If the right decision is made in the first place (I'm totally unconvinced it was a red and Tevez was hardly an innocent party), none of what followed happens.

The sooner the powers that be see sense, the better.

Obviously none of that excuses Barton for what he subsequently did.

Shearer's still on my case..."I know I f*cked up Alan, thanks for stating the obvious.

Whilst were both stating the obvious about each other, can I just say for the record what a great player u were. Well better me...

But I have a better hair(which is not hard), wear well better shirts on TV and have a personality(something u lack).

I really don't like that prick, in fact I honestly despise him...

I'd take it off Hansen and @GaryLineker but not from that bell, same fella that stamped on Neil Lennon, then threatened FA if they banned him

That he would retire from international football. No sorry, not having him, never have. Selfish, boring man him. He can do one...

Have the FA finally given up with punishing tweets? It seems that some of the stuff said by big name players in the game would earn them an instant disrepute charge if said in a post match interview. I think the FA have bottled it with Twitter big style, there's so many at it now that they just don't seem to want to get involved.

Barton is a joke. His excuse that he only acted the way he did because one of his team mates told him to try and take a City player off with him are pathetic. I've seen the footage a few times now and once he gets the red card he argues with the ref then goes straight to Ageuro and attacks him.
Report berto77 May 14, 2012 10:02 AM BST
I don't like Barton and enjoyed his red card.  But I actually think he's telling the truth when he says he was trying to provoke a City player into retaliation to even it up.  Obviously it's cretinous behaviour and he should get a longer ban, but he didn't seem to have lost his head after the red was shown, he looked calculating to me.
Report Biscuit1979 May 14, 2012 10:05 AM BST

Thought Tevez did a wonderful job, reminded me of Ronaldo getting Rooney done. How did the linesman see the elbow but in Bolton game on the ball incidents were unseen! (Foul on goalie) kids stuff.

Tevez 10 10 10 got in the box too, should have been a penalty even though the ball was elsewhere.

The afters were pithy. Heard the hype, left if for match of the day, they hardly touched upon it. Knowing Tevez had kicked him in the first place.
