How come the Newcastle hieracy arnt in jail on fraud charges? Sell Carroll for 35m. Buy Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Tiote for less than 25m. |

By:
hmmm, £50million to spend. fernando torres or andy carroll and charlie adam, hard decision there....

Anyone think a champions league club might go for Falcao in the summer?

Would it be fair to say that Newcastle have one of the best scouting systems in Europe whilst Liverpool have one of the worst? Adam,Carroll,Downing and Henderson to name but 4.....all vastly overpriced and arguably.......duds |

hmmm, £50million to spend. fernando torres or andy carroll and charlie adam, hard decision there.... you could have bought a lot more for the 50m, Henderson 20m johnson 18m, Downing (0 assists, 0 Goals)20m adam 9m Carroll 35m, lucky you got 50m for Torres. Has Dalglish Made any shrewd sighnings?

Anyone think a champions league club might go for Falcao in the summer? Atletico certainly won't sell to Real and not sure Barca could justify the fee either if Villa returns from injury, which means only Chelsea, City and PSG could afford him. You're easily talking 50m i think. |

By:
reckon a few clubs will be lining up to sign that midfielder from Bilbao,
By:
Which one?
By:
Martinez would be a great signing for any top club in Europe.
By:
Iker Muniain

ima_amazed will not be pleased with this thread imo.

Before i say this i admit i would prefer Falcao at Liverpool.
But... Carroll was 22 when he joined and is a targer man like Drogba so has a good 12 years left. Falcao will probably be passed his best when he is 30 so basically it's either 35m for a good footballer got 12 years or a brilliant player for 5 years at about 40 million euroes. |

reckon a few clubs will be lining up to sign that midfielder from Bilbao, Bilbao could well be dismantled this summer. Llorente, Muniain, Herrera, Javi Martinez, Susaeta could all move on. |

Mike-lfc - Carroll will be at Liverpool in 12 years?
By:
i believe so biscuit
muniain looks the one to me though cant believe he is only 19 ![]() |

................................................................................................... Much as I dislike Drogba for his diving antics, he is 10 times the player (when he behaves) that Carroll is, and Carroll dives too. Falcao past his best at 30? I doubt it. He's obviously got a brain, you see. Carroll on the other hand... |
By:
Had you even heard of Drogba when he was 22?
By:
Drogba had only just turned pro at 22
By:
So Carroll was further forward at the same age?
By:
Carrol will be top b0llocks soon - feel free to ridicule
By:
is top b0llocks a diminutive of complete b0llocks?

I agree Carroll can be a regular 20 goal a season striker and have a decent England career. But he's not in Falcao's class so will never look good in a value for money comparison given their respective transfer fees.

I agree Carroll can be a regular 20 goal a season striker....... That would mean Liverpool playing in the Championship though, don't think the fans will like that. |
By:
Carroll doesn't have the hunger of a Drogba, he didn't even want to go to Liverpool in the first place so that tells you all you need to know. He was happy to stay in the North East playing football on a Saturday and getting drunk with his mates on the evening.

Falcao scored loads of goals in two-bit competetions (La Liga & Europa). Carroll would bang them in there as well. Falcao would'nt last in the big league (EPL).
By:
I wasn't aware that Carroll had signed a 12 year contract.
