Sell Carroll for 35m.

Buy Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Tiote for less than 25m.

Anyone think a champions league club might go for Falcao in the summer?

Biscuit

Would it be fair to say that Newcastle have one of the best scouting systems in Europe whilst Liverpool have one of the worst?

Adam,Carroll,Downing and Henderson to name but 4.....all vastly overpriced and arguably.......duds

Atletico certainly won't sell to Real and not sure Barca could justify the fee either if Villa returns from injury, which means only Chelsea, City and PSG could afford him.

You're easily talking 50m i think.

Before i say this i admit i would prefer Falcao at Liverpool.

But...

Carroll was 22 when he joined and is a targer man like Drogba so has a good 12 years left. Falcao will probably be passed his best when he is 30 so basically it's either 35m for a good footballer got 12 years or a brilliant player for 5 years at about 40 million euroes.

Bilbao could well be dismantled this summer.

Llorente, Muniain, Herrera, Javi Martinez, Susaeta could all move on.

Much as I dislike Drogba for his diving antics, he is 10 times the player (when he behaves) that Carroll is, and Carroll dives too.

Falcao past his best at 30? I doubt it. He's obviously got a brain, you see. Carroll on the other hand...

I agree Carroll can be a regular 20 goal a season striker and have a decent England career.  But he's not in Falcao's class so will never look good in a value for money comparison given their respective transfer fees.

That would mean Liverpool playing in the Championship though, don't think the fans will like that.

Carroll doesn't have the hunger of a Drogba, he didn't even want to go to Liverpool in the first place so that tells you all you need to know. He was happy to stay in the North East playing football on a Saturday and getting drunk with his mates on the evening.

Falcao scored loads of goals in two-bit competetions (La Liga & Europa). Carroll would bang them in there as well. Falcao would'nt last in the big league (EPL).
