Am I missing something?  With Newcastle losing Spurs have everything to gain with a win and nothing to lose if they were to lose this game.  1 point doesn't do anything for them...

But isn't GD the deciding factor?  They already have the edge on Newcastle then, to secure 4th they'll need to win at home vs Fulham no matter if they get 1 point or no points.

Plus they have a great chance to leap frog Arsenal and secure 4th right now, with no reason not to.

Mafeking that theory is straight stupidity.  Spurs are now a longshot for 3rd and they can even finish 5th.  The pros and cons for going for victory today were so heavily weighted on the pro side it was incredible.
