Walked out on my Job yesterday, not a decision i take lightly in the current climate of immigrants swarming over every job opportunity possible.

BUT. The manager was a complete imbecile. She didn't have a clue what she was doing. My first 2 consecutive payslips were VERY WRONG (Under Paid)
Apparently it is my responsibility for noting down my hours. Plain
Given one piece of uniform, which i had to wash every day. Was promised more are being ordered. since day one.

Oh well back to £65 a week.. On the Plus side i'll have much more time on betfair, selecting my shrewed money makers. Hopefully will be going on a nice holiday in about 2 months or so.

If you quit your job then you are excluded from benefits for 26 weeks. If you have not paid enough NI contributions then you well and truely fecked. Your only avenue left is to try and get a crisis loan which you have to pay back when you either find another job or start to get benefits after the 26 week period.

As sniperAYR said - not a great move on your part.

brother quit his job but told jobcentre he was made redundant... they don't even check

Report KilbirnieMan May 3, 2012 3:50 PM BST
Standard procedure if you say you have been made redundant from Jobcentre is:

They write to your last employer for final payslip

They enquire if any redundancy money was paid as this affects your benefits also.

You have to take last 3 months bank statements to Jobcentre so they can see if you have moved any monies to another account

Your Brother was very luck Dimebar.

They do check everything and if they don't then they will be signing on!

There would be no fraud case as he would not have received any benefits but they would put a big red sticker on his claim.

AND THEN THE CHEEKY **** ask US to pay for it all, all OUR money they LOST BY WRECKLESS GAMBLING we are supposed to suffer to pay it all back!!!

It defies belief!

IMO we can get away with doing f*ck all in this country, fair play to them. It's not worth putting your back out for £7 an hour, when the country starts being run fairly and FOR THE PEOPLE not just the top 5-10% then that's different.

If you quit your job but then wanted to sign on, just sign up to various employment agencies and do a day/few days work for them. Agencies always have temp sh1t that is for a couple of days here or there. Then, when that temp assignment is over, contact the job centre and say you were doing some agency work but now it's finished. They will probably check it out with the agency but it will all be legit, so everyone is satisfied. It will even generate a p45 for you.

Though in this climate, I'm note sure why anyone would walk out on a job without another one to go into. But good luck.

Would give me a chance to do some proper work which im in dire need of, and overtime opportunities would enable me to save for my next trip to Thailand.

However last time i registered at the agency that deal with this factory, they interviewed me, didn't hear a word back. I have qualifications, i'm physically fit, ex armed-forces, blatantly not lazy. It's just unfortunate i'm British.
