Cruz Azul vs Libertad
Atlético Nacional vs Velez

Cruz Azul in the first.

Altitude may play a part in the Velez game but i'm not sure what the difference in class is between the two teams. As it's not on the same level as the Santos - Bolivar game. I'm gonna go for Atletico.

Altitude will play a massive factor. Velez lost 0-3 in Quito with the altitude.

Velez topped their group but Atletico came through a tricker group imo.

Was disappointing to see Velez put such a half arsed effort into their final group game even though they were through, but they can turn on the style if they need to.

I think Velez will score, Nacional aren't really doing it in the league and their difficulty holding onto leads seems to be a bit guilty for that.

Wouldn't be too confident backing Velez to win but I can see a case for it and its good returns.

Its over two legs though and it's international format means that anything can happen, look at Santos losing in Bolivia.

Wish I could stay up for the Cruz Azul Libertad game though. If their recent form is anything to go by then goals are on the cards, let's hope its a case of we'll score one more than you. But as I said before, its a two leg thing, progression won't come from tonight's result so we could perhaps see a little more caution. BTTS would be a cert in my book though

Altitude for Velez today is nowhere near as bad as it is in Quito. As noodlehead said, Nacional did indeed just sack their coach, due to poor league form it would appear, but strange as they seemed to be concentrating on copa lib over the league, all may not be well, as there was discipline probs in the camp ahead of last group game v UDC.

Cruz Azul look the best of the night, altitude advantage and late kick off will make it very uncomfortable for Libertad.

what do you think about universitario vs uni san martin?
By:
ajb89
When: 01 May 12 23:57
i'm on san martin, tentatively. reverse the fixture and you'd be putting your nan on a San Martin win but as it is this evening, home is where universitario have held things together and away is where San Martin have slipped up.

apart from the odd risque bet i'm trying to play it really safe this week. hoping for an early going so i can go heavy on ov1.5 as i cant see an o0.5 market. had a weekend slump and i know i wont get it back through being reckless

With Velez having to cope with altitude, i think they are happy to draw and then take the tie back to Argentina. Home win for me there.

hmmm, How bad is the altitude exactly? I Fancied velez before knowing there might be an altitude problem

Atletico Nacional are 13th after 14 games in their league. That is awful. It's just about how big a difference the altitude will make.
By:

When: 02 May 12 00:37
the altitude is not enough to effect velez, medellin is nothing compared to quito or la paz

penarol played a good game but lost 2-0, atletico nacional winning or not will depend if their forward players click, dorlan pabon in particular who looks nailed on to be playing for a top club in europe next season

it is 50/50 for me, 2 of the best clubs in the competition so the value is laying atletico nacional at these odds imo
