To me, that free kick was awesome. People will talk about the chip for years to come, but really it's just a case of see the goalkeeper way off his line, and have a punt. Surely, it takes more skill to make the ball take a banana route into the goal, with a much smaller target area to aim at.

As much as it kills me as a Gooooner fan...Walkers was better imo 
on the fence on this 1 as a liverpool fan id say suarez but walkers was a very very good goal
Not taking anything away from Suarez of course ...Scorcher of a goal...Showed great nerve to attempt such a thing

No, think the Crouch goal was better. Ball in play, volley, arched body. Both took the breath away, but you had to see the forward view of Walker's to appreciate what he got the ball to do.
It did mafeking. Just looked like a great free kick from the stand camera view. Different again when you see the forward view.
SUAREZ FOR ME I DON'T THINK HE EVEN LOOKED UP AND TO HIT IT IN A SPLIT SECOND AND GET THE JUDGEMENT RIGHT WAS SUPERB.

but could they do it again and again and again or did they just get lucky? i saw a half-time comp once where a fan kicked the ball and it hit the cross-bar, winning him the prize. did he have fantastic aim and the ability to kick a ball with great technique or did he just get lucky?
