in my opinion, look at it again, receives the ball, doesn't even look then just thrashes at the ball,as i said in the title,it was one of those "hit and hopers" luckily for luis it came off.
Can I ask, if a player goes for a pot in the middle pocket and sinks it in the middle pocket in question, could that be classed as a fluke?
I have a follow up question depending on your answer so let me know, good man.

right , ive just watched it again, he receives the ball on the half way line, gets it out of his feet, looks up at the goal then hits a shot from 45 yards into the top right hand corner,
obviously a complete fluke

best picture is from behind ,showing the player on the left henderson possibly throwing his arms up in disgust when he shoots, then running 70 yds to celebrate

It was Stevie G who was free, thats the 2nd such incident for him, when Alonso scored form the half way line against Luton Stevie was also looking for a pass to go clean through, but like yesterday he had to turn a moan up into a pat on the back!
