Two matches tonight kick off the knockout stages;

Bolivar v Santos
Int v Flu

All Brasilian affair tough to call, probably not a good game to watch.  Other match a little more interesting, I think the odds for Bolivar may be a tough to low due to Santos losing to Bolivian side The Strongest in group play.  Altitude definitely a factor but it can be overcome.  And Bolivar isn't exactly tearing up the domestic league as well.

Bolivar will win. 2-1 or 1-0 i reckon then will get battered in the return leg. Int will win the other probs but i have no idea.

Both tight games, both home wins though. Small double for me.

I seem to remember Santos being extremely defensive in the away legs of the knockouts last year - wouldn't be surprised with the same. Santos undoubtebly the better side, but whether they go for the win or just survival is another matter.

Hard to call the Inter game as well, the state leagues they've been playing in doesn't give much of a form guide. Neither team particularly stood out in the group stages, although Flum had a good away win at Boca.

Two "wait and see" games imo.

opposing bolivian sides at home is not for the faint-hearted.

dallesandro and oscar are out for inter, two crucial payers that would have helped control the midfield.

i understand the whole altitude thing, but given the quality advantage that santos has over their opponent, i see value laying the home side. still undecided.

No matter what the score is this game. Santos will still qualify.

he doesn't mean feeling the altitude due to the match imo, a common complaint by the brazilian teams wen they travel to high altitude is that the shock of it 2 the system can often make it hard to even walk without feeling effects. wen flamengo went to bolivia i tink it was in the prelim round they were saying that players were getting nose bleeds just from walking down the street.

So this could finish about 8-0? ;)

Nose bleeds walking down the street sounds a bit extreme

Didnt UDC do a number on a side at altitude a couple of months back? I could be wrong...seems to strike a cord though

Tbf it makes it more interesting. Imagine Barcelona losing 3-0 against Apoel Nicosia (If they were massively above sea level).

it doesn't help that the climate is much different in these locations, another reason y the brazilians really struggle in these games. also i dont know wen santos got here and how much time they have had 2 acclimatise as this game being played this wk has nt gone down well wit them due to important paulista games, and shud hav been played nxt wk. UDC r freaks!

at end of the day, santos are in a diff league altogether from bolivar, all the altitude does is level the playing field. no probs bout confusion. nt sure if evry1 has seen this graph bout the altitude teams.
