Am I alone in thinking that Valdez is something of a liability for Barcelona. He should have saved Drogba's weak left foot shot last week at Stamford Bridge, dropped the ball from an easy header against Real Madrid and then came charging out of his goal to make Ronaldo's task much easier. Last night he demolished his own centre half and then was in his box when Torres scored giving about an 80 metre gap between him and and the rest of his team. Surely he should have been acting as a sweeper there. All the great teams have a great goalie. Not this one.

Have Thought for some time, that this lad just isn't very good. Get away with him most of the time as they generally dominate games. But he's certainly a weak link to my eyes.

1000% right. think the team needs an overall. all beit chelsea very lucky. the gap has closed 5fold. aged at the back. and need to be able to play abit more direct when 11 men behind the ball..

Victor is cr4p.

He had two hots to save at the Emirates last season and he didn't near either.

All those clean sheets are down to Barca's midfield keeping the ball in the other half.

Not sure you can really blame Valdes for either goal last night Bhoys.

I agree he's not exactly the best though.
Report Coachbuster April 25, 2012 11:45 AM BST
he's footballs version of Ringo Starr
Report knowledgeable April 25, 2012 5:19 PM BST
explain Ringo reference please coach. Can blame him for second as where was he when the ball reached Torres? He either comes rushing out when shouldn't or stays in area when he should come out. Probably mesmerised by the passing of his teammates
Report OldGold April 25, 2012 5:22 PM BST
Torres received the ball on the half way line, where do you expect Valdes to have been!?
