elisjohn - teams like Dundee Utd and Aberdeen were winning european trophies and getting to finals in the 1980's.
While average teams like Not Forrest and Aston Villa were also picking up EC medals. The standard today is so far ahead of back then. |

Not a great era late 70s/early 80s,probably the weakest the competition ever was between 1976-1987.They would have been difficult to beat for anyone though.,
Liverpool 1987/88 were awesome though. |

that milan side of the late 80's was awesome and it ran in tandem with the dutch side that won the euros in 88.

That milan side went about 55-60 games unbeaten in Serie A, amazing side.
