Striker Loic Remy has insisted Marseille will not coast to the end of the season after rescuing a potentially disastrous campaign by winning a third successive Coupe de la Ligue title at the weekend. Saturday's 1-0 extra-time victory over Lyon at the Stade de France ensured the beaten Champions League quarter-finalists of European action next season, albeit it in the Europa League.
Caen too will hope they can do significantly better during the run-in as they attempt to drag themselves out of relegation trouble. They head for the Stade Velodrome sitting in 17th place in the table, five points better off than basement boys Auxerre, but ahead of Ajaccio and Sochaux only on goal difference. Caen ended their wait for a league victory at the seventh attempt when they beat Bordeaux 1-0 last time out courtesy of midfielder Nicolas Seube's early strike.
