Maybe should be on the Politics forum..

ML thats my point nothing has change re the Tories from then to now in their mind set. Only good thing is the Tory papers are hamming them.

DO no it's not the only thing is we get to know more so this couldn't happen again.

Twitter FB would assist as their faster the the media and journos.

My point is the PM and Police tried to lie and cover up and are still doing so.

Why does this surprise you??? People in power guilty of corruption and cover ups??? Wow fcuking wee, trying to use this as some sort of marker to brand and generalise the tories with is stupid at best. All political parties when in power are guilty of this sort of behaviour get over it and spare me your  cheap political points scoring...

they murdered that brazilian on the tube and lied about it

i have my doubts as to their honesty over the raoul moat case

terrorism laws seem to allow anyone to be sent to usa for trial
when a case would be laughed at over here

The party in power will use the police, media and whatever means necessary to achieve it's objectives , no matter how seedy or corrupt those goals may be... Liberal, Labour, Tory ,Green are all the same when they get in the hot seat you are deluding yourself if you think otherwise.

I'm just pointing out that our PM and Police lied in the Miners strike and did so again a few years later.

Thatcher was our worst PM even http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFcBRHC9MV0

Politicians and Police have been lying since the dawn of time ffs,
as Donny Osmond wrote Blair was just as bad , he went to war with Iraq on bullshit and then lied to the world about it. Just can't believe people are still surprised by the level politicians and police or those in power will stoop to..

South Yorkshire police, under Wright, had been "institutionally corrupt" and was still unreformed when the Liverpool supporters came to Sheffield for the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest.

Police mismanagement

Lord Justice Taylor, in his official report into Hillsborough, published in 1990, judged that mismanagement by South Yorkshire police was the prime cause of the disaster, yet the force relentlessly sought to lay the blame on the Liverpool supporters. A unit of senior officers, reporting to Wright, oversaw that case, ordering junior officers to rewrite their statements, to delete criticisms of the police's own operation and emphasise allegations that supporters were drunk and misbehaving

disgraceful.
