By:
correction they need to win and a draw in the other game

Libtard and Vasco have already qualified, so I'd imagine the 01:50 games are a bit dead....

Tempted by 4 home wins. But also tempted to play it safe and go 4 favourites.

Flamengo have to win, at home vs them id fancy them. They only threw it away last week in the last 10minutes. Think they'll be strong enough to overcome them.

Flamengo can do the business at home, just away they struggle.

Flamengo need a 4 goal turn around in goal differance with Olimpia aswell

Interesting situaiton tonight in the Lanus group. Lanus already qualified and will win the group, no arguements there so maybe they will rest some players ? MNC any news please ? In summary : Flamengo must win to have any chance of progressing in combination with relying on a draw in the other match tonight If there is a winner at Olimpia v Emelec then that team will progress If Olimpia draw and Flamengo win, Flamengo progress on goal difference as they have +4 goals over Olimpia at start of play I don't think the home win for Olimpia is as obvious as their home stats suggests. I saw the game they lost 6-0 away at Lanus, it was the first time they'd be beaten by more than two goals in their previous 85 anywhere, and that was only by a 1-4 margin. Olimpia were absolute crap against Lanus in that 6-0 and should have lost by many more goals than that. Can we put it down to a one off performance for Olimpia ? Possibly, because they rarely ever lose by more than 1 goal in a match. I've seen Emelec twice in this tournament, on both occasions they had a player sent off in the first half, thats consistency for you ! They pulled out a shock 3-2 win in the previous match in the round so maybe its possible they can get something tonight ? Both teams must win this, but Emelec havent scored a goal in either of their other two aways in this tournament, though only lost each of them 1-0. A winner in this fixture will progress whatever the result at Flamengo. Last edited by Nervous Anorak; Today at 20:20. |

last time that Olimpia lost at home was 30/10/11 against Libertad (0-2) |

Have to admit, the fact Flamengo have to realy go for it and get goals makes it more tempting on them to win. Since Lanus have qualified, probaly rest players.

Im feeling goals in Flamengo but don't know whether to go with that or the home win hmm
By:
Yeah ive gone for a flamengo/Olimpia double stake 30 @ 3.00 :) come on!
By:
Flamengo have virtually no hope, tough to call that game. Emelec and Olimpia will be going kamikaze attacking late if the match is level and Flamengo is winning.
Flamengo will surely not be up for it. |

Have to admit, the fact Flamengo have to realy go for it and get goals makes it more tempting on them to win. Why do they need to go for goals? They just need to win and hope the other game is a draw, that's the only way they can qualify. |

I misread the above, Oopsie. Still fancy them masively though.

Doesn't look like Lanus are playing the b-team....
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/gamecast/_/id/335576?cc=5739 ....but on the other hand it would require some crazy scores for them not to fonish first. |
By:
Gonna go overs in Lanus then
By:
interesting drift on olimpia
By:
Strange that they're fielding a strong side when the group is already won
By:
should be a good night :D
By:
Seems like Flamengo going over all the time lately. Lanus can be a defensive side but given the somewhat carefree circumstances they might be willing to play an open game with the Brazilians.

"Strange that they're fielding a strong side when the group is already won"
Well, if both home teams tonight win 7-0 then Lanus would finish second in the group. Better safe than sorry..... |
By:
Think both of these earlier games should have goals but saving my money to back Alianza to beat Libertad later
By:
well ive had a fiver treble for interest over 2.5 in the early games and vasco later in a treble.gl.

I dunno...tempted to go overs in the Lanus game but then 10 minutes in Flamengo discover that Olimpia have already gone two goals up and stop playing. Lanus think 'If Olimpia score 10 then we'd better have a shot on goal'.
In short...this is going to be 4-4 or 0-0. |

By:
to back goals or flamengo.....

Sitter missed by Emelec.
