at what point during the match did you place the bet? ie: if a football match was 0-0 in the 80th min and 5/6 was being offered for under 2.5 goals, that is an obvious palpable error

Sounds to me like it was a palpable error, compounded by a confused Supervisor. The original poster hasnt expanded on what the game situation was when he struck the bet

10 minutes into the first half mate, and I think the score was 6-0 at the time but obviously that doesn't affect the second half bet!

i would deffo take it further then

take it all the way to the top!!!
i'd say you have a big case here don't stop debating it with them |

Looks to me like the Match total was put into the 2nd half only total. Definite palpable error. According to you the match total should be around the 80pt mark if its 41.5 for just the second half only. I assume NRL totals are around the 40-50 mark not 80 odd.
You`ll get nowhere unless they give you a discretionary payment. If you`re a perennial loser you have a chance, if you sit round waiting for errors you`ll get jack. |

Other things they take into consideration is your regular bet...if you normally stake $10, then put $300 on this, they wont be disposed to giving you anything.
By:
Average stake is around £150, have put bets of over £350 on numerous times. That's what I am thinking now, however they are saying that the total was right but the price wrong, I am not having that. I bet with them nearly everyday, my account is probably slightly in profit, nothing major though but I probably turnover about £2k a week with them.
By:
Not a chance unfortunately. Average points are around 48 for Rugby League. At half time there were 12 points scored. This puts match total at around 36 points (probably lower) so a 2nd half total that you thought you were getting (41.5) just doesn't add up. Think you might have to give this one up.
By:
I placed the bet 10 minutes into the game so it wasn't half time yet but I think it was 6-0 iirc.
By:
Dont know how they can say the total was right, but the price was wrong, ask them to point out all these 1/50 shots they put out for 2nd half totals...cos you wont find any. The total was wrong plain and simple, but for that total 1/50 is nearer than 5/6
By:
Exactly what I said, they just don't offer markets on over under at 1/50 for 2nd half totals, always 5/6 either side. There were 16 points in the 2nd half and I am sure my bet would have won at whatever their total should be as it was probably 21.5 or something.
By:
If you`re angling for them to change your bet to the proper total they wont. You selected an outcome - under 41.5, they cannot change that nor would any proper bookmaker, so they`ve applied the correct price to that total. What if the second half had finished with 26pts ? How would you react if they changed your bet from a winner to a loser (without your permission). Once you clicked under 41.5 and thats what you`re on.

I had a bet on the 2nd April on an in-play market on the NRL Canberra Raiders v North Queensland Total Number of 2nd Half Points Under 41.5pts £350 @ 5/6. It's a clear palpable error in my opinion. There's no way under 41.5 points in just one half would be odds of 5/6. |
By:
42.5 was the total at the start of the match so at 6-0 after 10 minutes, I would guess that the in running total would probably be about 41.5 at that time so they have given you the match total just for the 2nd half. Palpable error I'm afraid
