When: 11 Mar 12 13:18
THE MARKET IN YOUR EXAMPLE ABOVE WOULD BE SUSPENDED AT THE START OF THE GAME. SO YOU COULD NOT PLACE THIS BET BY MISTAKE IN RUNNING.
UNLESS I HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD YOU

The market was HT/FT and at HT one team was winning 4-0 just minutes into the second half I mistakenly placed a HT/FT bet on the team that was losing so obviously I had 0 chance of winning but now my money is gone :(

by the sounds of it the section should have been suspended..................

but you have to accept a fair percentage of responsibility for putting it on and even being in ht ft during second half

worth asking anyway to see if its worth a partial refund of stake

Sorry, Betfair can't be responsible for your mistake. If you back accidently 0-0 while the score is already 1-0, you lose

no chance, people back 1000's to free up money if they had layed it, so you have no chance.
