The shocking home odds reflect the overall gulf in class, and this really should be a breeze for this years UCL winners. They are free scoring , though do tend to concede in these "easy" games a lot recently , and with BL conceding a fair few,  I am having some of the following:

Barca HT/FT 1.53
BTTS 2.3 (cracking price)
AUQ - 2.72
Messi to score 2 or more

buena suerte!

you obviously didnt see the first game, nothing in it, (except messi) leverkusen are in top form beating bayern munich 2-0 on friday, they have nothing to lose, and barca dont even have to win the game - yes goals galore but 2-2 (44) and 3-3 (140) are fantastic value

Both Teams to score 2.26, whereas you could bet on Leverkusen to score at around 2.20

Dont see the point of backing BTTS to be honest (even though Barca should get a few if Bayer Leverkusen go all out attack, which they must)

Im going for a high scoring game, Barcelona 4-2 Bayer Leverkusen

Predicted Barcelona line up:

Predicted Line-up (4-3-3): Victor Valdes; Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano, Adriano Correia; Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernandez, Cesc Fabregas; Andres Iniesta, Pedro Rodriguez, Lionel Messi

To Score Market:

I like the look of Dani Alves @ 8.40

Barcelona only know 1 way to play and that is attack

A couple of outrageous comments already , and we still have the likes of dawsy, nobby etc to get home from school , and we also have the Messi v CR7 debate, that should start at about 6pm.
As WCE said the line up will be strong for Barca, they have Thiago and Sanchez out- but thats no big deal, team will be the strongest available 11 . If anyone thinks Barca will sit back and simply take a 1-0 or 0-0 to qualify then its time to see the shrink, anyway, they would probably end up being knocked out if they tried that approach.

16% in 90 mins ! thats more than you get from the bank Bhoys.

Barcelona have won their last nine home matches against German opponents since losing 2-1 to Bayern Munich in the 1998-99 Champions League group stage.
Bayer Leverkusen have not won away from home in the Champions League in their last 12 attempts.    The German side have conceded 11 goals; more than any other club in the round of 16.

Yes, and Leverkusen didnt win against Munich in the last 14 games, now they did. What does it tell us? Streaks sometimes break.

I don't think that Leverkusen is cannon fodder in this game. They have nothing to lose and they have won big games in the past as underdogs before. I'm not saying they will advance to the next round, but maybe a win or a draw is possible. Like someone said before, they have nothing to lose and an early goal could be very good for them.

Anyways, I wanted to go for goals, but the odds are too ridiculous, so I might pick BTTS or something in favor of Leverkusen.

How about, instead of posting insults, anyone who disagrees with the OP posts their own analysis and show where the opening post is wrong?

Just a thought.

Anyone who thinks that Lever will get turnt over and end up losing 4 or 5-0 are in a dream world, they will be playing for pride in my eyes and i cant see them conceding a hat full, i also cant see Barca conceding, there for the bet for me is Under 3.5 at evens
By:
abu1967
When: 07 Mar 12 15:14
fair point there sridout- and i know BL are a decent side and were unlucky to lose 1-3 at home, but the tie is all but over, unless BL go all out attack and then its a high scoring tie either way. imo, you are 100% correct, its only pride that they BL are playing for, i just doubt whether their pride is still intact if they go an early goal down, and that could lead to the 4 or 5 goals.

true, thats the only worry for me, im hoping for a 1-0 or 0-0 first half for a trade out tbh

0-0 at HT would be a disaster for all my bets- lets settle for 1-0 then.
