Sunderland 3.0
Arsenal 2.6

I make Arsenal clear favourites and thought they would be a smaller price than that.

Wenger will not want to go out of this competition after Wednesday night's debacle and I fully expect Arsenal to field their strongest team and really go for Sunderland.

Arsenal to win looks the bet here - 0-1 or 1-2 will be the scoreline

Hard game to call Seaburn, until we hear Arsenal`s line up.
Hopefully we`ll attack a bit more than last week and give Sess a bit more support up front.
Feeling lucky so I`ll go for a 2-1 home win.

I think Sunderland will get at least a draw.   I don't see Arsenal winning this.

I don't see Arsenal resting any players after Wednesday nights carry on, Tenpins. If Djourou plays we might have a chance but I think Arsenal will be too strong. Howard Webb refeering also fills me with dread.

Webb owes us for that phantom pen against Everton.
Hope he remembers that Mischief

Arsenal a good bet @2.6

They were 2.15 for the same match last week, which was a decent price itself.

The difference is that this a Cup Tie? Well it's nonsense that they should be a much bigger price for that reason.

Finishing 4th without any sort of cup run would be Wenger's worst season since 1996/97 . Worse than all the recent seasons he has been damned as a failure for.

I'll be amazed if the team selected is not as strong as it can be.

would not touch arsenal after the humiliation and mauling they received against a modest ac milan.if the supposed wonder kid GIBBS was at a top 4 side he would be a boot cleaner or ball runner.

It's clearly 2.6 as the market expects a weakened team, or RVP to be dropped. Both very possibly scenarios. If you're certain that you'll field your strongest team then you'd smash the current price as it will undoubtedly go in.

Remember the embarrassment of the United kids doing Arsenals full strength over last year, will Wenger risk that again?

i'm interested in trading sunderland's price in this one. if i can lay them at anything around 2.9-3 i am convinced i will get 3.35 at least in running remember sunderland are not AC Milan and lost this fixture 2-1 last week so i reckon this will be relatively straightforward.Grin

you can't really bet this until you see the Arsenal team.  I doubt Gibbs can do two games in a few days after so long off, and with Koscielny injured too that means Vermaelen-Djourou in the centre, possibly Miquel left back, Sagna right.  I suppose the contingency is Song to go centre-back if any one of those four gets injured (with Djourou rb or Vermaelen lb as needs be), because there aren't any other options.

Ramsey looked out of his depth tactically and technically against Milan and didn't start the league game vs Sunderland, so possibly Arteta, Song and Rosicky across the middle, assuming they are fit.  Gervinho, Walcott, Arshavin and Oxlade in the wide attacking roles with van Persie in the middle.   its a poor squad even when everyone is fit Plain

howard webb would be a major worry for sunderland

he's got some of the players on last chance tackles already

a straight red today and they miss their cup final

Arsenal will not win this game.    I'm 99% sure of that.

Last week sunderland came off a gruelling 120 minute mid week game, whereas Arenal were fresh. This week Arsenal come off a tough demoralising euro defeat and Sunderland are fresh and rested.Added to that a bad pitch.Advantage Sunderland.
A draw would be a great result for Arsenal imo.

Arsenal playing the same kind of football they played in Milan, moving the ball slowly, no one making any runs, no urgency to push forward.

Sure that was going wide from Richardson and deflected back towards goal
We'll see at HT

Arsenal flinging themselves to the ground for free kicks will only increase

Richardson awarded the goal so it must've been on target before the defrection.
