imo he is a brillinat manager but stubborn as a mule....love the way he gets his teams to play but they have been a shadow of his great teams for 2 or 3 years......
losing Fabregas and nasri would reduce any teams quality but i think he is reaching the end of the road at arsenal. |

who is to blame for all the selling and no buying??? i guess the book stops at wenger

not sure.....if the money is available and its his stubborness stopping him the wenger....
if there is no money...maybe the new stadium took a chunk... then not much wenger can do...who knows???? |

dont think you can blame him tonight(except for picking walcott) their players were gutless. You will probably see the same next week in napoli from 80% of the chelsea team.

taipan501,
The saying is "The buck stops here" not "The Book" I don't know how much of this is down to Kroenke tbf. Wenger should be the martyr imo. Give me money or I go. If I go, the whole truth comes spilling out and there will be a lynch mob in place for kroenke. |

chelsea's problem is that they are playing with 9 men in effect, no1 in there right mind would say luis or torres contribute anything to that team, they are a complete waste of pen ink to put them on the team sheet

david luis is 1 of the worst defenders i have ever seen , period

hes alot better than people give him credit for, the only things you see are his mistakes and him roaming forward

Part of the problem is that no-one knows what financial restrictions he is operating under and I guess that is how the club has been set up - ie that the manager carries the can for the board. My belief is that Arsenal's owners are focused purely on running a profitable club and growing the value of their asset - one of a large portfolio that they hold. I suspect that the truth about the financial constraints will come out after Wenger goes. When Arsenal were competing for and winning trophies, they were able to attract the best players on the market but sadly that is no longer the case, and the acquisitions made in the Summer say a lot about the level of transfer that they are now dealing in.

I dont want to hijack an Arsenal thread but Taipan you are so wrong about Luiz.
Yes he has made mistakes since he has been here, partly due to him over playing, part due to getting used to the premier league's pace and early on this season part due to being told to push so high by the manager. I really hate the knee-jerk leeming followers (i am not accusing you of this)how constantly spout how rubbish Luiz is cos Lawrenson,Hansen and Neville have got stuck into him on tv. Prior to the Everton game David Luiz had been our best player for the previous 6-7 games, we had conceded very few goals during this period and he was immense. None of the three critics I mentioned gave him any acknowledgement for how well he played in these games, everything was quiet on the bosh Luiz front. The TEAM then has an awful game at Goodison and suddenly all the knifes are our for Luiz again. Whenever I talk Chelsea/football to anyone, first name they mention is Luiz and how rubbish he has, this is purely down to these clowns in the media. I accept he needs to cut errors out of his game, he is still young for his position,23/24 and improving all the time. He also has Bosingwa playing next too him and has to cover for this joke of player more often than not on the right side of central defence. Fact is we have had two enquiries about Luiz since he came to Chelsea, I have had this confirmed, one from Barca and the other from Real Madrid............quite interesting the calibre of these clubs for an awful player. |

As they said on itv last night, Arsenal have lost Fabregas, Nasri and Wilshere from last seasons side. Take the 3 best midfielders out of any team and they will struggle.
However what you can blame Wenger for is the fact that he must have known Cesc and Nasri would go yet he had NOBODY lined up to replace them. |

cant replace cess only 2 players in the league close to him Modric and scholes thats why your seeing so many open games between the top teams this year you need a player to dictate tempo.
City do it with lots of decnt footballers and Barry ![]() |
