this reminds me of a story from desperado,
A man walk into a bar, goes to the back of a room and speaks briefly with some shady looking characters. he then walks up to the bar and orders a tequila. after finishing his drink he says to the barman 'i have a proposition for you' the barman looks interested and replies 'I'm listening'. the man continues 'you see that glass at the end of the bar', 'yeah' replies the barman. 'well i bet you $100 i could piss into that glass from here, not only that i wouldn't spill a drop anywhere'. 'that glass has to be a good 5 meters away. $100 dollars and you wont spill a drop, your on' responds the barman. so the man proceeds to whip it out and starts pissing, he gets it everywhere all over the bar all over the barman, in fact he gets it everywhere but the glass. when he's finished the barman looks at him and while laughing says ' you idiot, you got it everywhere but the glass, you owe me £100'. so the man while smiling pays the barman $100. just as the man goes to walk away the barman says 'what are you so happy about, you just lost $100'. the responds 'you see those guys at the back of the room, i just bet them $2000 that i could piss all over your bar and you, not only would i do it, you would be happy about it' Moral of the story, when someone offers a tip, most of the time they have their own agenda to do so. |
