We complain about the crowds in Europe, but this is two South American games I've been in that have been abandoned due to the crowds. And throwing what looked to be military grade fireworks is a special kind of stupid!

if a bet has already been settled it stays settled, only markets that are unsettled like correct score and match odds are voided

Settled (first half and O/U, etc) bets stay settled. Other vets are void if not resumed in 3 days.

i laid 6.5 goals at half time at very short odds so surely if it carries on to start of next game i will be exposed at a false price? does that make sense?

Very rarely. And this won't be either because UDC play in Colombia in the Copa Lib on tuesday night but betfair still won't give us our money back for 3 days.

i know the rules say 3 days etc but with the copa lib game i think they'll void it sooner

I had 2 games on the same day before and both of them were back once the game was rearranged after the 2-3 game period.

The last time two times I've bet on an abandoned game I got my stake back within 8 or so hours.

They usually hold onto the money until there's an official announcement of a date for the rescheduled match from the FA. Let's hope the Chileans get their act together sharpish.

as long as they confirm the game wont be replayed within 3 days from now you will get your money back, they dont actually have to set a new date yet..

What happens to your odds if they do play the game within 3 days? I put 2.5+ on after first goal. These odds are obviously shorter than if the game is replayed from scratch. Will they just play second half with score still 1-1?

You are wrong on that, it's not unusual for South American club to have a continental match scheduled for one day and a national match scheduled for the next day, in which they will play the B team.

Yes you are right, the match will not be played this week end, but the problem is we don't see any clear official announcement.
I was on Saint-Etienne v Lorient last week-end. The game was stopped after 10 minutes because of the iced pitch, a few hours after the French League website announced a new date for the match, then Betfair quickly voided the bets. They need something official and clear i think

Some Betfair manager should call the Chilean FA and ask for the decision. This company has that power needed to get the answer.

i just called them and they assure me that they will forward the case..hopefully they will avoid the markets soon enough..i told them tha it is official and that they are not professionals..everyone in this planet knows that the game will not restart due to libertadores game and betfair do nothing..

The 3 day rule is a terrible system and should be abolished. There has to be a simpler and more customer friendly work around.

The 3 day rule does seem silly, if the game is abandoned then just void all bets. If we're that interested in the fixture we will bet again when its replayed.

I just called them again and they keep on saying there is no official statement yet and they wait for that. Otherwise they will void the game after the 3 day rule expires.
