How likely is it this game will go ahead 2nite? Temperature to drop to zero around between 6-9pm

I'm surprised you even ask the question. It was very mild down here yesterday ?

Be amazed if it was off.

Mild down here yesterday, meaning, the pitch will be 100% playable at the moment

Having looked at the Weather Forecast, I can understand the concern a bit more but it's still cold to mild out there, I just can't envisage a problem. 1.03 the game goes ahead

Srgtdouche - Bournemouth are far from woeful.

I know, I've had to watch them for the last 30 years. I've seen woeful and this team will be in the championship, if not this year, next year for sure.

I think I'll go with....clueless.

billy, as you know, I'm an AFC fan but although I want them
to win every game, I would fear for them in the Champioship
with between 5000 and 7000 through the gate. Clubs with that
fan base simply don't last.
BTW as I don't have my ear too close to the ground, who are
the money finders ?
By:
billy
When: 07 Feb 12 14:49
A new stand behind the empty part of the ground would increase the capacity obviously and they'd sell out for every game imo.
10,000 to 12,000 every game is sufficient in this current climate, innit ?

Money finders ?

Are you talking about Mitchell and Maxim Demin ?

billy - whilst they may go close i think this year is too soon. I think it would be far better for them as a club to strengthen in the summer and go for automatic next season. If you went up this year i think you'd struggle.

Having said that i think league one is strong this year and i don't think they'll be good enough to go up.

Back to the game tonight! Overs or Unders 2.5??
By:
billy
When: 07 Feb 12 14:56
I agree Biscuit. I might be slightly blinkered by my investment at 20 and 22/1 to be promoted. Bloody strong squad now.

Would be frightened of laying under 2.5, nasser. Can't see anything but another win for the cherries either.

Not really confident with the cherries at their own patch Billy. Think they're a bit under priced tonight.

Having seen Exeter a couple of weeks ago i can confirm that they are absolutely terrible, can't see anything other than a Bournemouth win either.
By:

A completely different unit to the one that started the season, nasser. You can chuck away their horrible home form stats. Good to know, Exter ain't much too, Biscuit.

billy, I don't know who I'm talking about, that's why I'm
asking where's the money came from ?
Regards gate money, with respect, I just don't think
Bournemouth is a strong enough football area to get enough
through the turnstiles, especially if they struggle in the
Championship where I personally think they would be punching
above their weight. Anyway, bring home the bacon this evening.

kenilworth - I think you need to make a return visit to the place. Whether you love or hate Eddie Mitchell, and I'm not keen, the club has been put very firmly back on its feet. The whole place has been smartened up immensely. It looks and feels like a proper football club. The facilities are very good and the ambience to go with it is excellent. The fans bar is immaculate, with sky sports screens etc. They even sell pukka pies Love It's still too expensive to watch, they could at least throw in the programme but all in all the fan is treated more like a human being.

The signs were ominous when Howe left for Burnley and all the best players jumped ship along the way, albeit every player was sold for very good money. So it now transpires that that was good business and with the introduction of this Russian Millionaire, Bournemouth have very quickly returned back to the strong situation they were in. Only now, there appears no immediate reason why things should again, go pear shape. Demin is keeping a very low profile but I don't think there's any doubting that he's got plenty of spondoolees.
They're trying to buy back the ground at the moment and if they get that, there will be big investments to the surrounding area, a new hotel (perfectly sited as you know) etc.

It all looks very promising.

Thanks for that Billy. Lets just hope it doesn't go t!ts up and they
don't get too ambitious, just let it happen if it's going to happen,
don't try and force it. GL this evening.

Billy - talking about players who jumped ship, Rhoys Wiggins is one of the best left backs we (Charlton) have had in years. I'm sure he'll get a great reception when we play you next month Wink

We may lose Symes and Pugh at the end of
the season according to the Echo.Sad
By:

When: 07 Feb 12 19:10
Tubbs has to start surely.

Wiggins has some tricks doesn't he, Biscuit. A very good player. All them ship jumpers looked good. Not sure all of them have maintained the same level of performance since though. Think you're right about the level of expectancy not being so great down here, which does take the pressure off the players. To that point, Simon Francis has done well. He's hard to weigh up, can appear a bit disinterested and slow but then suddenly does something exceptional. Probably swap him back for Wiggins but he's not been a disappointment
By:
billy
When: 07 Feb 12 19:15
Symes has been useless this year, kenilworth. Can't believe it's the same player that put himself about at Brighton last year.

Pugh is superb, but would be a fool to leave the club. (for all the aforementioned reasons. If Bournemouth do make the championship in the next few years he's reached his level anyway
By:
billy
When: 07 Feb 12 19:26
And flip flop - Tubbs's fee is undisclosed, but the rumoured fee is apparently vastly inflated. I'm fairly certain, all these recent signings have joined B'mouth because they know the security is there and they see the potential of the club. Can't believe I'm actually writing this.

Probably get thumped tonight Crazy
