Jelavic - the player who was desperate to come to Liverpool?!

Yeah, sure he is better than Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez.

Granted he doesn't have much competition from the list of Blues strikers during the last 30 years with Sharpe being the only decent one, and even he is not fit to lace the boots of the above Wink
Report homefortea February 4, 2012 7:06 PM GMT
I wasn't aware of any strikes on Merseyside in the last 30 years as they are all on benefits.....

Wayne Rooney.

Once a blue always a manc.
Report Ukmalllia February 5, 2012 11:55 AM GMT
It's amazing when you think how many world class strikers Liverpool have had in even the last 20 years, all at some point in their time at Liverpool officially the best striker in the world during their careers.

Torres
Owen
Fowler
Suarez

Maybe even Andy will prove his critics wrong one day and join this official list.
Report Max and Paddy February 5, 2012 11:56 AM GMT
Sean Dundee is a shocking omission from that list.
Report Pootle February 5, 2012 12:42 PM GMT
Its a shame for liverpool that with all those wonderful strikers in the past 20years they never had a manager capable of winning the league, even a half decent manager would have won the league once or twice with those, especially when you add in carragher, and gerrard, and the numerous other world stars.
The quality of players and lack of titles, really highlights just how bad liverpools managers have been I guess.
Report charwell. February 5, 2012 10:32 PM GMT
Maybe you are right Pootle.

But we have won other stuff along the way.

Shame EFC have had cr@p strikers and fck all in the trophy cabinet. As for Rooney, he hardly counts as a blue. Sold for 30 pieces of silver at the first opportunity. He had only just passed his BMX profficiency test!

The way he kisses that Manc badge and talks of his love for the money, ahem, sorry - club. Yuck!!!
