ALL POSESSION AND NO SUBSTANCE.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO BIDE YOUR TIME, LET THERE MIDFIELD RUN ROUND IN CIRCLES DOING NOTHING, LET THEM TIRE FROM ALL THAT RUNNING ROUND THEN POUNCE.

THEY HAVE PLAYERS THAT CAN PASS THE BALL SIDEWAYS AND BACKWARDS BUT THEY HAVE NO PENETRATION FROM MIDFIELD, ITS LONG HOPEFULL BALLS INTO THE BOX HOPING SOMEONE CAN GET ON THE END OF IT.

LONG GONE ARE THE SURGING RUNS FROM KEANE, CANTONA AND SCHOLES AT HIS PEAK. NOW ITS THE LIKES OF PARK, CARRICK AND AN AGEING SCHOLES AND GIGGS TRYING TO PULL THE STRINGS.

NO WONDER BRACELONA MADE THEIR MIDFIELD LOOK LIKE MUGS.

cant argue with any of that ,but mugs on this forum rather like scholes passing the ball 5 yards, 75 times sideways and backwards, and then when he trys something more expansive giving it away or bringing the linesmen into play, but you pays your money and takes your choice

Yes, Scholes has been doing that for years and getting away with it.
Awful player 1tp, you've found him out.
You should write a book.

from scholes own mouth he retired because he felt he couldnt hold his own in utds best 11 last season, man city raise the stakes and scholes with 8 months lack of intensive training is we are told now good enough for the 1st team,i dont think so, do you

Shame you are not intelligent enough to realise where the Caps lock button is and what it is useful for.

Let me get this straight
MU go to the home of one of their biggest rivals
Without a dozen of their first team squad
Dominate possession and lose a CUP game to a last minute goal while still in the hunt for another championship
And this means theyve been worked out?
okay...

For all that posession they created very little and LFC comfortable in letting them have it. LFC ramped up the last 15 mins and Man Utd folded like a cheap suit.

I McHunt - next you will be telling us you have split the atom.

One understands all that
The game was essentially a right pain in the backside for messrs Ferguson and Dalglish
Liv exhausted after midweek chasing City decided to defend
Man U would usually employ those tactics at anfield picked a 5 man midfield, essentially to do the same job but found themselves with plenty of possession mainly due to Liv's inability to keep the ball
You couldnt say you were really impressed with either side
Valencia looked a tidy winger
Park took his chance well
Carroll did a nice job
Dalglish got his tactics right but I bet both clubs are glad its all over
Doubt SAF will lose too much sleep

True.

Hard to lose sleep after a few customary late night snifters for Slur Fergus.
