Superbigals Value Scottish Cup 1st Round thread.

Wonder why betfair put the games up on exchange but don't have the bottle to offer on sportsbook. Anyone got any clout ?

Morning comes and what do we get. No markets beyond match betting. No firms taking any standout views. Got to be honest I have no bets of any significance on what used to be the best day of the year. Those in Scotland that understand some of the other non pyramid non league football will know it is Scottish Junior cup day. I have actually most of my wagers on this competition today.  Anyway tough to give advice on games where I have not really put my money where my mouth is. For what it's worth heres who I think gives some value and will hopefully win.

I have done Edusport at 6/4 home to Rothes on the Ladbrokes Totally Scotland shop coupon. The new lowland league recruits are basically a residential football academy for French players. They are strengthening quickly as their recruits start to arrive. Doing rather well in their first year in LL and currently 7th of 16 with as many wins as defeats. Rothes are much improved in the Highland league this year. However they do not travel well with only a solitary win at perennial strugglers Fort William. Unfortunately 21/20 appears the best online price.  I have also added Edinburgh University at 4/6 home to Lossiemouth. 8/13 best online. The tax dodgers are struggling in the LL league but are fairly competitive most weeks. Their team has also strengthened as the students return. Lossiemouth are getting pumped virtually every week in the Highland league. 29 goals conceded in last 6 games. Moving on there has been substantial money on Colville Park at home to Cumbernauld Colts. Colville are actually the Scottish amateur cup winners so well below Cumbernauld in league pecking order. I believe the plunge from 10/3 to 8/5 is really just local interest. Cumbernauld should be a 1/2 shot and the 6/5 available really should be taken. I really hope I do not get egg on my face with this one. Glenafton will beat Threave but 1/10 in Ladbrokes is the best offer. Back in Ladbrokes I have done lowland league strugglers Civil Service Strollers at 2/5 to beat the horrendous highland league Strathspey. Unfortunately online again 1/4 is best offer. You really need to get into a Ladbrokes Scottish shop to follow today.

Others that are interesting I have not bet on.   Lothian Thistle 13/10 are the value against Inverurie.   Gretna 14/5 of the rags at Selkirk are the value. Gala 21/20 at the aforementioned Ladbrokes home to Keith is a fair price. Brora 2/5 should see of Girvan juniors.

Sign of the times this thread.  Betting opportunities have gone down rapidly since 2011.  A good read.  Wish i'd spotted it in 2011!

I did a similar thing in the 2012 UK Open darts.  Backed against every qualifying Speedy Hire employee in trebles and up, plus added one more that I found after a bit of research.  The acca was 20/1 and ended up 6/4.  No correct score betting unfortunately because every single one of them ended up losing 4-0!

Anyone visiting William Hills I have the following Junior cup thoughts.  Rags Arniston are no 9/2 shot home to St Andrews. Seen both teams this season.  East Craigie at Rosyth are hugely overpriced at 15/8.  Glasgow Perthshire although struggling are 2/1 home to Dundee North End and the price is too big.  Shorter but value in Aberdeen Uni 4/5 home to worst team in East Juniors Kirkcaldy.  Irvine Vics 10/11 to confirm recent form with Maybole.  Shorter still but likely to do business Rutherglen 1/2 home to Kirrie. Dundonald 1/2 home to Sauchie. Short but viable as certs (He says) Dunbar 1/3 at Dunipace. Shotts 1/7 at Burghead.

Talk about hitting the bar today. I have an 8 timer up that more than covers all bets, however most coupons seem to be the usual 1 down. Arniston 9/2 won 1-0  East Craigie 15/8 drew 2-2  Glasgow Perthshire 2/1 blew a 2-0 lead late on to draw 2-2, Aberdeen Uni 4/5 won easily as did Rutherglen, Dunbar and Shotts. Dundonald also won 1-0.  Irvine Vics 0-0 grrr

Must be a full range of markets this weekend, If SBA has any thoughts, I'm all ears!!

Currently in Ladbrokes who's totally Scotland coupon has been very generous for my fourfold today. Got cove rangers at 4/5 to win at nairn county. As they won 8-0 in the league their a couple of weeks ago it stinks of value. Ladbrokes were a huge 9/4 but now 6/4 for glenafton the Scottish west junior champs to win at my old team deveronvale. A ridiculous price for a team that should be favourites. They will love the excellent surface. I have added Elgin city who have just appointed Gavin price as their new manager at 4/11 to beat the French students of edu academy. Should be a gulf in class in this game. My acca is complete in Ladbrokes with 4/9 Spartans to see of clachnacudden of the hl.  Spartans are flying and should be shorter. Sorry for lack of analysis but am very busy today and this is typed quickly on the phone.

On tonights match I will not be betting.  Lets look at some stats between these 2 teams who are in the same League (Highland).  Fraserburgh last 56 matches have seen all of 4 draws. Inverurie last 58 matches have seen all of 5 draws.  The draw makes awful value.    On the flip side the teams last 2 meetings have been -  yes you've guessed it - draws.    The home team Inverurie have not beaten fraserburgh in their last 7 attempts.   The highland league is a free high scoring league and the obvious place to look is over 3.5 at a toss of a coin price and their last 4 meetings have all covered this.

Got this from Mcbookies compiler when I asked him if he had done all the games.

No. I supplied all the odds on Sunday to McBookie but being the Scottish Cup they go along with the Victor's odds. All odds will eventually appear it's just that the bookie's don't deal with these non-league teams normally and the last thing they want is to price up first and get a hammering. That's what ended Willie Hill's non-league betting last year.

Now clearly Willlie Hills are the most feeble of the main books as they actually sponsor the dam cup.
Ladbrokes and Coral have released a paper coupon as usual up here called totally scotland and it has a variety of non league offerings today including all the scottish ties. If any of you can get on this way there are a couple of big prices that could oblige.  Will report in later if anything develops.

On the VC coupon only Beith in my opinion are overpriced of the favourites at 19/20.

I managed to jump on Elgin and Brora 4+ for a 32/1 double and 5/6/7/8-0 doubles ranging from 33s to 350/1. Shortened massively since, but still exotic prices on here. Based on past glories I suppose from this thread but be interesting to see if SBA thinks they have a chance.
