hart is class

Just watched the goal on V + and the ball was heading straight for Toures head, but he ducks at last minute and it goes straight past him, giving Hart no time to react when Toure should have kept his head in the way. No deflection either.

He's an English keeper, which means that he'll be hailed as the second coming until he makes a mistake, when he'll be esteemed as a complete ****.

UKmallia - The keeper should expect the defender to miss, to make sure. Just like a striker should expect a keeper to miss a routine cross.
So deflection or not, hart should be covering himself, and worst case is he dives when he doesn't need it. |

Trying to make a fancy save when he could have easy nough just knocke it over |

he is certainly overrated on what he has done so far, and made more than enough errors at Birmingham to show that he wasn't the finished article. but the defenders he had there were real do-or-die lot and the odd flap or dropped shot was usually mopped up by them; not sure he'll get the same protection for England or cITEH. but he is the best English keeper and has loads of time to improve providing people don't expect too much and he could turn out to be very good indeed

''given is the better keeper at this minute ''
Erm. Lack of football knowledge much? Given is poor with corners and at commanding his box. Hart is a future legend. He'll be City's #1 for a good ten years yet. And he'll win many trophies during this time. |

''made more than enough errors at Birmingham to show that he wasn't the finished article.''
If by this you mean 'He was the only reason B'ham weren't relegated last season.'' Then yes. Yes, I agree. |

well even looking at brief highlights of a game for which he was roundly praised:
Stoke 0-1 Birmingham City http://www.eplmatches.com/2009/12/28/stoke-city-vs-birmingham-highlights/ Made a complete mess of the first cross resulting in an unconverted open goal. Got plaudits for an excellent save from Etherington after he misjudged a cross and palmed it towards the Stoke player. He was unpunished for those, but on another day (and when things aren't going well for them team), those end up in the back of the net and the keeper gets the blame. and Birmingham were 20 pts above Burnley. Hart is good, but not that good |

hart is overrated by whom?
i dont see anyone calling him the best in the world i dont even see ppl calling him the best in the premiership he is englands keeper almost by default over green and foster. hart is a young lad who is agile, decent on crosses for the most part and has a massive future imo even if he is a city cnt he isnt overrated by anyone really he is just seen as a very good keeper which is correct |
