Valencia got plenty of dangerous crosses in but couldn't connect. United solid but unspectacular. Well worked goal but the defence was caught ball watching giving Hernandez a half chance which he took very well. Ref seemed to give harsh decisions against Valencia apart from a potential sending off for stamping which went unpunished. But it might have been accidental. Perhaps.

Very poor performance from the ref. In the 1st half alone, he overruled his lino when the lino was closer to the incidents. 1 nearly cost United an early goal. |

what happened with spurs 3 pens?? Steady on, I wasn't watching both matches! I think that was both ways. Very poor performance from the ref. Well, you've got your take and I've got mine. I'm not going over the top about this, I've seen much worse from refs before. I certainly wouldn't be blaming the ref for the result. |

No i agree with that. Only because he had no major decisions to make, bar the "stamping" |

2 fouls and a handball in the box. VDV missed one first half, Pav converted both in the second.
VDV's sending off (at 2-1) could have helped out Twente but they gave away a penalty (handball) five minutes later. Comfortable win for Spurs. Always in control. |
