I highly doubt it, I mean seriously why would he join Leicester when he could walk into a top job without an interview. Laugh

However -

Martin O'Neill will be asked to return to Leicester if Paulo Sousa doesn't conjure a couple of decent results soon, even though the chairman Milan Mandaric insists "we have a long term plan and Paulo's part of it".

Martin O'Neill has been targeted for a sensational return to Leicester – as Paulo Sousa fights to save his job - The Mirror

MARTIN O’NEILL has been targeted for a sensational return to Leicester – as Paulo Sousa fights to save his job.

Leicester’s Thai owners have launched a mega-ambitious move to bring O’Neill back to the Foxes, more than a decade after he left for Celtic.
- Daily Star

"O'Neill could be back at a club within weeks, more after the break"
"Unbelievably it could be with Leicester"
- Sky Sports

I'm still in the boat of never gonna happen, but no harm in getting a little excited about it Laugh

Managers should never ever go back..
Report Onions September 28, 2010 12:15 PM BST
In fairness I agree.

If he failed (ie, didn't get us in Europe within two weeks, which seems to be the stupid ambition of Leicester fans) then people would just moan and want him out.

Question is would the Leciester fans welcome him back after his act of betrayal when he walked out. I somehow doubt it.

Betrayal? Laugh

I've heard it all now.

He took over us when we were in the drop zone, and left after our most successful few years in history.

been rumours he was about to jump into billys seat at forest after we got of to a relatively slow start. that wouldnt of surprised me that much, but id be amazed if he returned to leicester

Your welcome to the knut.

The footballing world has short memories; King getting games at Cov, and now these O'Neill rumours.

Just to recap he could not understand the link between players wages and allowing them to creep up to 82% of total revenue coming in at Villa. He grumbled about players being tired, but never rotated the squad. He played a centre half at right back and left the best right back at the club on the bench. Players earning in excess of 30k a week, never got a game.

Since he has gone it feels like we have new signings: Reo-Coker, Heskey and Luke Young to name but three that he had upset.

Personally I think the bloke has lost it.

Please can you name a manager that has left a club in the lurch at such a crucial time days before the start of the season, pre-meditated to cause maximum difficulty ? Can he be trusted ever again ?

Surely the Foxes can do a lot better than him ?

It sounds like you have a lot of respect for the man but calling him Sir is of upmost disrespect
