B.City enquired about poss of taking young striker Danny Welbeck on loan, and were shocked to be told by Man. U he's not available but you can have Owen. And they are interested in a loan deal.
What is the point of getting these older players, James is a fit 40-y-o
and ok for 1 maybe 2 yrs. Owen was very good but is now known to be injury prone
and has lost a lot of drive and ambition. He's into property and horses.

David James will play til he's 50 imo. Incredibly fit man, and still a great keeper.

Yeah I know they got that Wolves striker.
But Owen could do well for Bristol City on loan for one season. Lets face it, he can't do much for Man.U can he ? ! ! Has lost some pace, but might still have got a few vital goals for Bristol City. He could have come down in his helicopter every week. Lot of rumours going around Ashton Gate yesterday, but Steve Coppell has denied them and joked, "I've tried for Ronaldo as well, but so far he hasn't bothered to return my calls !" |
