Last season there was a big difference between this 2 sides.Adelaide finished on the botton of the table,10th place,while Jets had an impressive season taking one of the playoff spots and finishing at the 6th spot of the table.During the summer break Newcastle Jets lost 2 important players in Matt Thompson (probably the best performer) and Jason Hoffman (another good player) to new A league side Melbourne Heart.They were replaced with bringing back from Europe the former socceroos Ruben Zadkovich (Derby) and Kasey Wehrman (Lyn Oslo).Anyway they are probably a class low players than the lost ones.
Adelaide had the worst attack last season scoring only 24 goals.That made the managment team to seek for a class striker,signing one of the best attackers in the league Sergio Van Dijk (Brisbane Roar) who certanly will be a great signing for them.Nigel Boogaard (Central Coast), Marcos Flores (Curico Unido), were also a great signings.
With the appointment of the new coach Rini Coolen,the defensive orientation of the team lead by former coach Aurelio Vidmar should be lost.Therefor i expect more than 2 goals on this match.I think that the teams are able to score and 4 units on this odds are definitely worth.
