After the humiliation of the summer they still haven't learnt the lesson which the other major leagues in Europe taught us. Scudamore has unequivocally informed the nation that there will be no question of a mid winter break. Game over.

best thing to happen would be not to qualify for the euros, to rid us of the ''golden generation'' for ever

It doesn't matter who they pick as long as they are playing with one arm tied behind their back.

You say "forget them" but no-one with a braincell puts money on them anyway.

The problem isnt the lack of a mid winter break in my view. The problem is with the players.
we are not as comfortable on the ball, other teams know this and press our players knowing eventually we will give the ball away.
the main issue is intelligence tho. Englands downfall was the players inability to adapt to the style of football the manager wanted to play. So they resorted to battering ram football that left us exposed defensively.
